Moonlight La La Land

Did you watch the Oscars the other night? OMG what happened?

faye-and-betty

best-picture-2017

What happened was Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway, better known as Bonnie and Clyde from the 1967 movie was supposed to announce the best picture for 2017. Apparently, they got the wrong envelope, he did pause for the moment, he could have paused for more asked for the right envelope and presented the right winner, but she blurted out “La La Land”, which did not win it was “Moonlight,” I prefer La La land.

La La Land won 6 out of 14 Oscars, and they were best director, actress, production design, cinematography, score and original song.

Moonlight, tells a story of a black man by following him through the episodes: as a young boy, as a teenager, and as an adult.

And La La Land tells a story Mia who is a struggling actress and wanted to be noticed while Sebastian is a struggling Jazz singer and wanted to be noticed too, And it was a musical dance drama,

jungle-book-visual-effects

The Visual Effects went to The Jungle Book, which beat out Star Wars: The Rogue One, in which they recreated dead actors and made Carrie Fisher younger again. I agree in which it went to the Jungle Book, the visual effects of the Jungle Book were incredible and very creative and complexity of creating animals to interact with humans and making them talk with CGI. Jon Favreau who directed Iron Man directed The Jungle Book.

Emma Stone

Emma Stone won for best performance by an actress in a leading role for La La Land. Ryan Gosling did not win for leading man it was Casey Affleck for Manchester By the Sea, produced by Matt Damon.

Jimmy Kimmel was a great host for the show, I hope he comes back.  Jimmy Kimmel surprises a group of tourist who was on the tour bus to see celebrities houses, but it took a detour to the Oscar ceremony and saw real celebrities, and took a selfie with them.

matt-jim-1a

When Matt Damon was presenting with Ben Affleck, the music was getting louder and louder and find out that Jimmy Kimmel was conducting the orchestra.

In the Memoriam section, they put the wrong picture with the deceased name, in other words, she’s alive. The lady on the left is alive.

Since the actors were getting hungry, Jimmy drop balloons of food, arranging from candies to donuts.

adele-mainSomething in the air at the Grammys, first of all, Adele won five Grammys which includes, an album of the year, song of the year, record of the year, pop vocal album, and pop solo performance.  While Beyonce won for Best Urban Contemporary Album and Best Music Video for her song Formation, which was taken from the album Lemonade.

The 59th GRAMMY Awards - Roaming Show

Other winners of the show that weren’t broadcast, because music is a huge category and the show is only 3 hours and some minutes long. They were announced early during the broadcast. If they have broadcast the whole event it would be either 5 to 6 hours and the expectance speech will be longer and boring too. Bathroom break! Or even better a nap break!

Carol Brunette she won for Best Spoken Word Album: Carol Burnett, In Such Good Company: Eleven Years Of Laughter, Mayhem and Fun in the Sandbox. Previous winner was Obama.

If you wondering Star Wars: The Force Awakens won for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media: John Williams.

This is strange, The Flintstone won for Best Arrangement, Instruments and Vocals: Jacob Collier.  Watch it below.

I know what you doing now is humming to the theme song of the Flintstone in your office.

Patton Oswalt

And for Comedy Album Patton Oswalt, he visited Seth Myers a couple of weeks ago to talk about her comedy album, and he is hysterically funny to watch.

Did you know during the commercial break, they were showing highlights of previous winners of the past for the audience members? Highlights included Beyoncé and Prince covering “Purple Rain” in 2004; Elton John singing “Stan” with Eminem in 2001, and Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus duetting on “Fifteen” back in 2009, that was interesting. I hope they do the same thing for the Oscars in 2017, show old movie clips from the past or even better the complete longer version of the people who died within the year and added the lasted person who died in the recent hours.

21-pilots-winning-grammy-underwear

After winning the award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their hit song “Stressed Out,” Twenty One Pilots members Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun immediately got up and removed their pants, choosing to walk up to the podium in their underwear.

Of course, you can remove your pants when watching the Grammys in your home.  We can’t see you, but at the Grammys, everyone can see you, that would be embarrassing. Feel free to do anything at home. But don’t do it in the office or workplace, they are rules.

James Corden followed it up by stripping down to his underwear to introduce Ed Sheeran.

Keep your pants on.

Before the show start, the executive producer told, if you win let your voices heard or stick what you wanted to say. They only have either one minute or a minute and forty-five second. As long they keep it short and to the point. And always thank the people who helped them to further their career.

Ms. Universe France Iris Mittenaere

france-1

As you know Miss France Iris Mittenaere was crowned Miss Universe and Miss Haiti, Raquel Pelissier and Miss Colombia, Andrea Tovar were the second and the runner-up.

There were 86 countries from across the globe competing for the crown for Ms. Universe, only one could win.  How many countries do we have?

Steve Harvey got the name right this time and he apologized to Miss Colombia live on air and she did not win. It was in Spanish, I did not understand what she talking about, but she looked hot.

steve-harvey-glasses

This time someone gave him glasses for he could READ the card properly, that was funny. There should put more comedy bits for Steve Harvey on the show next time if he hosted the show again. But again, it was interesting to watch. They have the gorgeous and stunning women. My mouth dropped!

I am glad they showed the other girls too.

Miss France Iris Mittenaere, 23 is pursuing her degree in Dental Surgery, she wowed the judges with her brains, beauty, and charisma during the competition. And she had a gorgeous smile.

And how do you say Hot in French?

Hidden Figures Not So Hidden

hiden-figures-2-mp

What does a Mathematician, an engineer, and informal supervisor have in common? These are three people who helped put men into space, and they are Katherine Goble, Mary Jackson, and Dorothy Vaughn.

Watching their TV documentaries over a month ago is so much better than watching the movie, you see movies inspire us to watch great characters such as these three extraordinary ladies telling their stories of how they suffer from being noticed in this male dominated world of being smart. Black people are smart too, and their gender too.

But back in 1957 and the 1960’s, black people were segregated among the white people, and not being respected of their talent and skills they have. They have great minds too.

When I watch Hidden Figures the movie, these three incredible women broke the barrier and sacrifice themselves that black people are smarter and able to help us in any particular way to get into space. They are not spies, they want to help us.

Hidden Figures is nominated for Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Supporting Actress for Octavia Spencer.

octavia-spencer

Octavia Spencer deserved to win an Oscar for her role in the movie.  If she wins, it will be her second time since “The Help” (2011).  She also won the Golden Globes in 2012 for her performance “The Help”.

45th President Donald J Trump

donald-trump-2017

We have a new president, isn’t it odd we have the 45th president? The odd is, it’s the number 45th, that’s an odd number.  Anyway, we have President Donald J. Trump, so what do we call him? President Trump? President Donald J. Trump? Let’s be respectful, he’s our new leader now.

jackie-2017

The highlight was Jackie Evancho, she sang beautiful and she looked incredible gorgeous. Can she be president? That’s the only thing I stopped in the middle of my day, to listen to her singing. The rest of my time I was doing house work.

So we have a new president, we have to deal with him. He does have an agenda to make America Great Again. If people don’t know, he has a plan. All business people have plans.  We make plans not to watch it because people have to work, that’s a plan.  We are making America great for us and our families.

We only listen to people that we like, and we don’t listen to people who we don’t like, but we have to listen it anyway and we say “Phew” or “Okay”.

People think, he’s rude and mean. He wants order with the Journalism to write the truth not “Fake News” or print out of what he’s going to do, that not journalism.  Journalism is telling the truth of what he said, not speculating and exaggerated the truth. Journalism please get your story right, we can wait. We don’t want breaking news immediately. We can wait.

He is only going deport people who make threats on us. Foreign people who had been living in America for a long time are safe and have two forms of ID, passport and birth certificates. As long you have ID, you are good to stay. I am hungry, we have a new Mexican restaurant called “The Wall.”

I am teasing, don’t send hate comment on my site.

Some of the democrats would not be there, that means more seats would be empty or maybe they are at home watching Disney Channel with their children.

What “Girl Meets World” is on tonight? I better watch that! And it’s the last episode too.

And stop watching White House Down, that’s not going to happen. It’s a fantasy movie.

See there, we have an agenda to do. We have to go on with our lives. Be great in what we do. Don’t let politics ruin your social lives. We have children who need our attention. People who don’t have children or single, just be great in what you do, be successful.  Watch a good comedy occasionally, don’t bombarded yourself in watching the news all the time, nothing is going to change. The change is in you. We have to make that change. Don’t protest.

Did you see the protest? Some crazy people were trashing Starbucks near Washington DC, maybe their names weren’t on the cup. Doesn’t mean they should trash the place? That will go on their permanent record if they want to work as s Secrete Service for the president.

Just be kind to one another!
