Justice League: Super Friends

justice-league MP

Justice League is the sequel to Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice when Superman get’s killed by Doom, a Kryptonian creature, but does he live?  We will apparently find out. Bruce Wayne and Diana Prince unite a team consisting of Barry Allen (the flash}, Arthur Curry (Aqua Man) and Victor Stone(Cyborg) to face the catastrophic threat of Steppenwolf and his army of Parademons, who are on the hunt for three Mother Boxes on Earth, while the world reflects on Superman’s death.

Since they have new characters in the movie, will it draw the audience to see it or how did Superman come back from the dead. Will Superman become a Super-Zombie-Man?

We have seen the origin story of Wonder Woman in the summer of 2017; this is not the sequel to Wonder Woman, that will come in 2019. And they are working it right now, and one of the producers was fired because of sexual harassment in the workplace.

Did you know that November 17, 1992, is the 25th anniversary of the death Superman in the DC Comics?

Did you know this is the first time DC Movies demanded a film under 2 hours with some credits at the beginning of the movie? The movie is 120 minutes long, with an after-credit scene after the first half. The rest with credits at the end thanking people and the soundtrack of the movie is awesome. And be aware of the Easter egg references in the movie, it will or might give clues in the movie for the Superheroes.

Oh, by the way, each of the superheroes has their screen time. The dialogue is clever and smart; and humorous. It’s all about their character.

Cyborg, Flash, and Aquaman will definitely have their own movies in the future. Will you see it when it comes out?

Murder on the Orient Express

Murder On The Orient Express - MP

Murder on the Orient Express is a 2017 mystery drama film directed by Kenneth Branagh with a screenplay by Michael Green, based on the 1934 novel of the same name by Agatha Christie.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

The film stars: Branagh as Hercule Poirot, with Penélope Cruz, Willem Dafoe, Judi Dench, Johnny Depp, Josh Gad, Derek Jacobi, Leslie Odom Jr., Michelle Pfeiffer and Daisy Ridley in supporting roles.

Who is the killer? That’s a mystery, this is the fourth adaptation of Christie’s novel, following a 1974 film, a 2001 TV film and a 2010 episode of Agatha Christie’s Poirot on PBS.

Agatha Christie was an English crime novelist, short story writer, and playwright. She is best known for her 66 detective novels and 14 short story collections, particularly those revolving around her fictional detectives Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple. She also wrote the world’s longest-running play, a murder mystery, The Mousetrap, and six romances under the name Mary Westmacott. In 1971 she was elevated to Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) for her contribution to literature.

Did you know there was an actual murder that took place on The Orient Express? Maria Farcasanu was robbed and murdered by Karl Strasser, who pushed her out of the moving train, one year after Agatha Christie’s book was published, that made her write the story.

Did you know the story was inspired when the Orient Express was trapped in a blizzard in 1929? It was going to Çerkezköy, Turkey, where it was marooned for six days.  Two years later Christie was involved in a similar scenario when she was traveling on the Orient Express, and the train got stuck for a period of time due to heavy rainfall and flooding, which washed part of the track away.

Also, the Charles A. Lindbergh kidnapping case inspired the story, in which Lindbergh’s 20-month old son was taken and held for a $50,000 ransom. The ransom was paid, but unfortunately, Lindbergh’s son was never returned.

This movie will be successful and the possibilities of franchising Agatha Christie novels to the movies, which is a good idea.

Go see it this weekend

What is your favorite Agatha Christie novel?

Boo 2! A Madea Halloween

Boo 3 MP

Boo 2! A Madea Halloween is a comedy horror written, produced, directed by and starring Tyler Perry.  Wow,  he can do everything, that’s inspiration. He is a genius of filmmaking.  He knows how to make us laugh at the silliest. We need a good movie to laugh at, instead of watching slasher movies. What can we learn from slasher movies? Trying not to be killed and get a good career when we graduated from our universities.

It is the tenth film in the Madea series, the sequel to Boo! A Madea Halloween (2016) and the third Madea film (after Madea’s Witness Protection and Boo!) not adapted from the stage play. What if Boo was a Broadway play, that will be one to watch and hysterical.

Tyler Perry

Tyler Perry plays three characters in this movie; he plays Mabel “Madea” Simmons, Brian Simmons and Uncle Joe Simmons.

John Shearer

Cassi Davis is an American actress and singer. She is best known for her role as Ella Payne on Tyler Perry’s House of Payne and one of Madea best friends from the TV show and it Madea films, since 2009.

Patrice Lovely

Patrice Lovely is an American actress, and comedian. She is best known for her role as Hattie Love in the sitcom Love Thy Neighbor and the comedy film Boo! A Madea Halloween.

Madea, Bam, and Hattie venture to a haunted campground and the group must run for their lives when monsters, goblins, and the boogeyman are unleashed.

Go see it. But don’t choke on your popcorn!

IT

Cast of IT 1

Did Stephen King frighten us? Did the movie “IT” scare you? Will you have nightmares? And what you going to wear for Halloween? A clown with a red a balloon? Walking slowing in the middle of the road and scaring children to drop their candy for you can grab the candy for yourself? That’s a good idea to do.

What inspires him to write IT? It was Trolls living underneath the bridge or sometimes tunnels. Logically, he came up with sewers drain and the plot was pure psychologically thriller. Even though the movie version was rated “R”, but it was intentionally for NC17, meaning more gruesome and other wilder scenes for the children can do very inappropriate things, that was in the book, not in the movie. They decided to stick to the movie and edit some of the scenes and make it appropriately for rated “R”, which makes sense.

The plot is seven young outcasts in Derry, Maine is about to face their worst nightmare — an ancient, shape-shifting evil that emerges from the sewer every 27 years to prey on the town’s children. Banding together over the course of one horrifying summer, the friends must overcome their own personal fears to battle the murderous, bloodthirsty clown known as Pennywise.

Even the book was terrified to read, the description in the book gave me nightmares. Here’s a tip: never fall asleep in the book that you selected to read and do a book report for high school. My sister scared me by popping a red balloon. Even scarier, she had on clown makeup on, it was her mascara bleeding from her face and it wasn’t Halloween.

Did you know the novel “It” won the British Fantasy Award in 1987, and received nominations for the Locus and World Fantasy Awards that same year? And it was a bestselling novel in 1986 too.

Wow, that’s impressive. The best way to learn English is to read a Stephen King novel. In 1966, King studied at the University of Maine, graduating in 1970 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and he was a certified English Teacher in high school. He found out the teacher pay was not good enough but his writing was selling and making more money than teaching.

The first chapter of the movie will be about the kids and the second chapter will be about the adults. The movie will come either in one or two years. Just read the book.

The movie itself was scary to watch and the language of the guys was a mouthful. There a few gruesome scenes not too many and a fatal fall. Did he survey? It’s scary and gruesome to watch. So go see it.

Unrecognizable Ross Lynch

Ross Lynch 2

Jeffrey Dahmer, known as the Milwaukee Cannibal, murdered and dismembered seventeen men and boys between 1978 and 1991. He would strip the bodies of flesh and store these parts in his fridge at home so he could consume them later. The public was so outraged, he stood trial behind a sheet of bullet-proof glass. On November 28th, 1994, Dahmer was beaten to death in prison by a fellow inmate at the Columbia Correctional Institution.

My Friend Dahmer is adapted from the graphic novel by the killer’s real-life acquaintance Derf Backderf and features Disney star Ross Lynch (Austin & Ally) as Dahmer.

Lynch told EW last month, “I play Jeffrey Dahmer around his high school years. (The film is about) how he became the serial killer that we know him to be. I was looking for a role that would somewhat be a challenge for me. I had done a lot of work with Disney, and sort of a younger demographic, and I was excited to do something that maybe people didn’t expect from me. And I had a really good time doing it.”

My Friend Dahmer is the movie and it will be released in the Fall of 2017

Close Encounters of the Third Kind

CE3K 1

When I saw Close Encounters of the Third Kind.  I was barely a teenager back then. My family and I saw the movie together, and I was mesmerized by this movie. Aliens do exist! Not really, it was just a movie. The sound track of the movie was amazing also. And I believe in UFOs.

A year later, my family and I witness a UFO flying across the night sky. It was scary to see it in the night sky. What would it do?

40 years ago, this blockbuster movie of Close Encounters of the Third Kind was coming back to theaters. It’s a masterpiece directed by Steven Spielberg, and people should see it on the big screen, because of the sound and visual is amazing. If you haven’t seen it, and you see the title on your TV while scrolling up and down to see what shows and movies are playing and caught a glimpse of it. Watch it on the big screen. The movie is old, but it is digital restore by means making the picture clear and the sound more crystal clear and the bass too. By the way, this movie won an Oscar for best Cinematography in the movie, that’s why I like photography today. Creating beautiful images with either people or objects.

Cable man Roy Neary (Richard Dreyfuss) is one of the several people who experience a close encounter of the first kind, witnessing UFOs flying through the night sky. He is subsequently haunted by a mountain like an image in his head and becomes obsessed with discovering what it represents, putting a severe strain on his marriage. Meanwhile, government agents around the world have a close encounter of the second kind, discovering physical evidence of otherworldly visitors in the form of military vehicles that went missing decades ago suddenly appearing in the middle of nowhere. Roy and the agents both follow the clues they have been given to reach a site where they will have a close encounter of the third kind: contact.

Here are some fun facts of Close Encounters of the Third Kind and they are:

  • The term “third kind,” meaning physical contact with extraterrestrials, comes from J. Allen Hynek’s book The UFO Experience: A Scientific Inquiry.
  • The aliens that come out of the spaceship were played by young girls.
  • Security for CE3K was so tight, Spielberg himself was turned away one day when he forgot his ID card.
  • When the mothership arrives at Devils Tower, an upside down R2-D2—from Star Wars—can be seen on the rim of the vessel.
  • The unforgettable five-note theme used for communication with the aliens was picked from a compilation of 100 options from composer John William.

Go see this classic coming out this Labor Day weekend!

Phoenix Forgotten

PHoenix Forgotten 1

It was 1997 when I heard the news of a UFO sighted over Phoenix Arizona; it was the same year I graduated from ECSU. The same year I believe in UFOs do exist, and the whole town saw it, and even the network news broadcast the UFO. I saw my UFO encounter when I was a teenager, and it was real.

The movie version of Phoenix Forgotten totally took it in a realistic possibility of what if this could be real. Ridley Scott, producer, and director of hit blockbuster movies such as Aliens, Blade Runner, Gladiator, and The Martian. Produced the movie along with the first-time director Justin Barber created an epic adventure of three teens who investigated the Phoenix Lights in 1997 and they vanished out of thin air. It was 20 years later when the sister wanted to know what happened to her brother and his friends. She found a second camera and tapes that he recorded the events and being abducted by aliens. The movie is being compared to The Blair Witch Project, but totally different.  It’s a found movie, which is popular in film making. His sister found the missing tapes and cameras that he used to investigate. It was a great story by T.S. Nowlin and Justin Barber.

Phoenix Forgoten 2

This movie was quite scary and good; they used real footage of the UFO that was sighted and the governor of Arizona doing a mockery that aliens and UFO don’t exist, but later on, he confessed that he believes in UFO’s and aliens do exist.

Cast of PHoenix Forgoten

The actors are Chelsea Lopez, Florence Hartigan, Justin Matthews, and Luke Spencer Roberts.

If you haven’t seen it, you should rent it and watch it. And don’t watch it alone watch it with a friend.
