Kim Possible Movie Review

This is Disney Channel first ever live action from animated successful show Kim Possible (2002- 2007).

In the movie, Kim Possible (Sadie Stanley) and her best friend Ron Stoppable (Sean Giambrone) embark on their freshman year of high school, all while saving the world from evil villains. While Kim and Ron have always been one step ahead of their opponents, navigating the social hierarchy of high school is more challenging than the action-heroes ever imagined. With Drakken (Todd Stashwick) and Shego (Taylor Ortega) lurking in the wings, Kim must rely on her family and friends on Team Possible — Ron, tech-genius Wade (Issac Ryan Brown), new friend Athena (Ciara Wilson), and Rufus, a naked mole-rat — to stop these super villains.

Sadie Stanley, this is her first movie, and she was fantastic playing the iconic role Kim Possible. She played the giggling girl on Game Shakers to superstardom on the Disney Channel. Remember her name, and she got fame! She’s from South Carolina. I hope she gets better roles in TV and movies.

Sean Giambrone

Sean Giambrone

He plays Ron Stoppable. He’s from the ABC show “The Goldberg” if you haven’t seen the show. And he’s a very successful actor too.

Ciara Riley Wilson

She plays Athena an Android. She can mimic Kim Possible moves and make it better. She’s also actor herself.  She appeared on Speechless (ABC), Bizaardvark (Disney Channel), Henry Danger (Nick) and other popular TV shows.

Patton Oswalt who voice Professor Dementor in the animated series, plays Professor Dementor, the real-life villain in the movie. And Shego played by Taylor Ortego. And Nancy Cartwright who voices animated Rufus in the TV show does the voice.

Christy Carlson Romano makes a cameo appearance she plays a pop star Poppy Blue.

Todd Stashwick plays Dr. Draken, he has been in Gotham, and Teen Wolf.

Other stars such as Alyson Hannigan Dr. Ann Possible, Issac Ryan Brown as Wade

Erika Tham as Bonnie

I don’t care what people say about this movie, Disney Channel knows how to find good upcoming talent and the cast them to make them successful in the entertainment business. Sadie Stanely will become successful. Kim Possible movie is fantastic to watch with your children. Great film and a great cast.  You will enjoy this movie!

It’s playing throughout February on the Disney Channel, watch it with your kid!

The Fast and The Furious 1954

The other night, I was scrolling on my TV, and I saw this The Fast and the Furious on TCM (Turner Classic Movies).

It’s the classic version of The Fast and the Furious. It stars John Ireland, Dorothy Malone, and Bruce Carlisle, in black and white. Bruce Carlisle died in 1980 at the age of 58. Sorry no pictures.

John Ireland
Dorothy Malone

The Budget of the movie was $66,000, and the Gross sales were $250,000. They had to use stock videos from other videos to make it better.

In 2001, version of the Fast and the Furious, the movie studio got the title rights, not the story rights. It’s about racing, but the 2001 version was so much better than the 1954 version.

The original title would have been Crash Out, a significant title changes help.

The car that was used was the Jaguar XK120.

Kim Possible the Movie

If you are Kim Possible fan and you may already know this, Kim Possible is possible for a live action movie. Wait for it, in 2019.

It will cast new fresh faces of Sadie Stanley, from South Carolina and you may recognize her in Game Shakers on Nickelodeon and Sean Giambrone from the hit ABC show The Goldbergs, it’s renewed for a six season.

Kim Possible is an Emmy Winning animated comedy/adventure series launched in 2002 and centered on an active teenager who uses her brain, heart, and expertise to save the day. Throughout 87 episodes, Kim Possible traversed the social hierarchy of high school and, with her loyal sidekick Ron Stoppable and his naked mole-rat Rufus by her side, thwarted power-hungry villains Drakken and Shego, among others. It inspired two favorite animated original movies, Kim Possible Movie: So the Drama in 2005, which was the first animated title in the Disney Channel Original Movie franchise, and Kim Possible: A Sitch in Time in 2003.

The Ice Cream Truck

Ice Cream Truck

When a local ice cream man who has a love for nostalgia starts to kill some of her neighbors, Mary is torn between her mature instincts that something is wrong and the distracting memories of her younger days.

In other words, it was a very creepy movie, that never got a limited screening when it came in the fall of 2017. I wanted ice cream when I was watching the movie, instead, I got a popcorn flavor ice cream for promotion and it was free, the flavor was Lemon meringue pie, the drink I had to pay for it.

Writer and director Megan Freels Johnston wrote the screenplay with the elements of a slasher flick, social satire, and psychological portrait of American life.

It reminds me of David Lynch in the beautiful way it was filmed, as well as the deliberately methodical pace. But that was intentional, similar to the pace and main character in Lost In Translation, which also conveys the experiences of a person in a fish out of water realm of uneasiness, triggered by new and unfamiliar surroundings.

Deanna Russo’s acting is spot on as a woman dealing with loneliness, boredom, the faded nostalgia of her teen years as well as the constant onslaught of awkward strangers and neighbors who repeatedly invade her fragile bubble of isolation. Plus, she is gorgeous.

Truth or Dare

thru or dare 3

Olivia and Lucas and their group of college friends travel to Mexico for one last getaway before graduation. While there, a stranger convinces one of the students to play a seemingly harmless game of truth or dare with the others. Once the game starts, it awakens something evil — a demon which forces the friends to share dark secrets and confront their deepest fears. The rules are simple but wicked — tell the truth or die, do the dare or die, and if you stop playing, you die.

How are you going to live? Don’t play it!

So would you watch it?  Tell the truth. You will watch it. What happened to spin the bottle game, that was my favorite game when I was in high school. What I did was too embarrassed to tell, not even for a blog post.  I was a teenager once, and it was stupid. My friends, they are married with children and live they out of state, which is good.

And by the way, if your teens want to go to Mexico for Spring Break, make sure they have life Insurance. Going across the border may not be the best Spring Break, it could be dangerous. Do you remember a family got killed in a room they were staying? The case is still ongoing. Mexico could be dangerous and also beautiful with culture.

Oh by, the way, this is the Eight film of the Truth and Dare, and this one is the best horror flick!

A Quite Place – the Review

A-Quiet-Place MP.jpg

If they hear you, they hunt you.

The movie tells the story of a family under siege. To survive, they have to follow one abiding law of safety: If anyone makes a sound — virtually any sound at all — then that person will be a goner. It also means you too. Don’t make a noise when watching the movie too. If you do a skeletal creature with crab-like pincers and a head like a metallic melon will burst out of the woods and make mincemeat of the noise-maker. Especially, when parents bring their babies to see a PG13 movie and don’t understand, little children can get nightmares or even poop in their pants and stink up the theater too. Don’t bring babies to a movie theater, they can’t stop crying, and they could bump their heads on the seat. It’s too dark to see!

But if everyone simmers down and put a cork in it, or a real cork, they’ll succeed in eluding the monsters in their midst. Life will go on (but quietly!). At times, we might be watching an “Alien” sequel in which the creature had mated with a very nasty and scolding the librarian. Shhhh!

This movie is a horror/thriller it would be nice to bring a significant other, in case someone gets scared and need to jump on you, then it would be nice.

I went on a date with a woman to see a horror movie, when the lights were on. She was gone. Not lucky. I enjoyed the movie; it had me on edge for the entire film. I enjoyed it, my date – not. When there were scarier scenes, I would jump on her. She did not like it.
