American Got Talent: Clairvoyant

Clairvoant

It was an incredible night, last night on America’s Got Talent. Since Hurricane Irma is coming this weekend, we might lose power. I hope not.  If we can get a cold front next week in the Carolinas, it could push Hurricane Irma away from us and no flooding too.

Anyway, Tyra Banks announced the bottom three and they were Evie Claire, Chase Goehring, and Eric Jones.  If you have America’s Got Talent app, just downloaded on your phone and vote for your favorite.

Buzzer Buddies

The first group was DaNell Daymon Greater Works, it’s a singing group choir, and they were fantastic. I feel it’s was church day on AGT. I like this church and comedian Preacher Lawson. Really? The executive producers put them together. Hallelujah! Preacher Lawson wins.

“I predict that you are the next comedic superstar!” We’ll see what happens at the finals, but I, for one, can’t wait to see Preacher’s next stand-up performance!” Howie Mandel said.

The next round was Yoli Mayor and Johnny Manuel; they were fantastic singers. Unfortunately, they were dismissed.  Johnny Manuel would get a second chance in the music business, and he has an incredible singing voice. Please, someone, give Johnny Manuel another chance in the music business. However, judge Simon Cowell made a strong point, saying, “You couldn’t have done any more, you walk out with your heads held high. Everyone is a winner in this round.” I like this Simon Cowell. He knows what music executives want, and performance acts to be performed on stage.

Then came Mike Yung and Darci Lynn. They were incredible performers and one won hearts of America. Eventually, Mike Yung went home, but he will make a record deal since he is in Hollywood. He has an amazing voice. Darci Lynn America’s favorite, her ventriloquist act was fantastic, and she’s an incredible singer and comedienne too. She was saved.

Billy and Emily England, and Sarah and Hero. Remember don’t throw your siblings while you are spinning around, that was incredible and shocking to the judges. The looks on the judges and the audiences who are watching them. I bet many people DVR it and watching it again in a loop.  The spinning is over for Billy and Emily, but they were great. Sarah and Hero were saved. Catch!

Doughnuts roll for the Dunkin’ save. Evie Claire was saved. So that means Eric Jones and Chase Goehring the bottom two and the judges must pick one who will go the Semi-finals. It was 3 to 1 the judges pick Chase Goehring.

So, we have your five finalists: Chase Goehring, Evie Claire, Darci Lynn, Preacher Lawson, and Sarah & Hero.

Did your favorite person go through to the finals? Let us know!

America Got Talent: Another One Gone

Angelina Green

Last night result of America’s Got Talent was an exciting night to watch TV on NBC.

From Kechi Okwuchi, a plane crash survivor, Mike Yung a New York subway singer, Chase Goehring a singer and song writer and Greater Works Choir all advance to the next round.

The fantastic dance performers of Diavolo, and the mind reader of Colin Cloud. Sara and Hero, dog trainer act also advances to the semi-finals.

Kechi sang an emotional cover of Katy Perry’s “By the Grace of God.” Mike Young sang Ed Sheeran’s song “Thinking Out Loud.” Goehring sang an original song “Illusion,” and Great Works Gospel Choir brought down the house with “You’re the One That I Want” from Grease.

The other acts and performers will be missed, and they will do terrific in the future. So sad to see the amazing acts perform one last time for us.

Mat Franco and Piff the Magic Dragon, did Magic. Mat use a milk carton that delivers different drinks: beer, red wine, water, lemonade, juice, and milk. It was incredible, and it blew my mind. Piff and his magic dog wrote words on a white board; this dog has better penmanship than my doctor.

So please America please vote for your favorite on America’s Got Talent,  Tuesday night on NBC!

American Got Talent: Technical Stuff

First, they were some minor issues that happen on the live show on Tuesday night on America’s Got Talent, everything was good. Unfortunately, things that did not go as plan. Maybe it was the Eclipse, blame it on the Eclipse.

Evie Clair 2

The Bottom three was Eric Jones, Evie Clair, and The Masquerade. They had the lowest number of votes.

Light Balance 2

The first group was Brobots and Mandroids and Light Balance, both were good. Light Balance did have some technical difficulties, so far they had the dress rehearsal performance, and they were fantastic. It was flawless and entertaining.  They should put the acts that use technology at the beginning of the show because it takes time to put things together and during commercials breaks. Light Balance was saved.

Next up was Mandy Harvey and Pomeyo Family. Mandy was a fantastic performer, and the Pomeyo Family was brilliant dog act. I want to get a onesie animal print for my cat named Yoda. Maybe a onesie Yoda for my cat? Mandy was saved.

Johnny M 2

The next act was Johnny Manuel and Demian Aditya. Demian was an illusionist and Daredevil. His act on Tuesday night was inside of the box with fiery flaming of spikes, the box was up in the air and when the box drop it would land on the spikes without Demian in it, and he would appear somewhere near the judges. Unfortunately, the box got stuck between the steel pipes. It was supposed to slide and drop to the fiery flames of spikes. What he should have done, is come out and appear someplace near the judges or scare the crap out of them. Ta da! He should have a backup plan when doing magic. Johnny Manuel was saved. It is not the end for Demian Aditya; he is great Daredevil and illusionist.  Where did he go? My cat Yoda just disappear. He is using the force, lucky I had a litter box.

NUP_178281_2073.jpg

Next group was Celine Tam, Merrick Hanna, and Mirror Image. They were fantastic performers, but one of them has to go, and that was Mirror Image, they made it this far to come to Hollywood.  The guys have charisma, and they are likable. I don’t know what the judges Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Mel B see in them. Maybe they have potential to become stars in Hollywood or have a YouTube channel hit, that would put Jake Paul out of business. Celine Tam and Merrick Hanna were saved.

Eric JOnes

Now the Dunkin save, with the Dunkin save the people have to vote for Evie Clair, the Masqueraders, and Eric Jones.  Evie Clair gave her fantastic performance. The Masquerades gave a magnificent performance. And Eric Jones walk through the glass in front of Howie Mandel – that was incredible.  Evie Clair was saved. And now the judges have to decide who would go through, and they were unanimous of the two acts. They were tied. The tie breaker winner was Eric Jones.

American Got Talent – The results show

If you missed the results show for America’s Got Talent the other night, and you think your favorite was saved. Guess again, they went home. People did not know how to pick up the phone or cell phone and vote. Your votes count. This is not the presidential election, oh, by the way; The Singing Trump went home –  I guess his second term on AGT did not go well. We still have the real president (being sarcastic).

The acts that performed last night were:

Angelica Hale

Artyon and Paige

Bello Nock

Billy and Emily Englund

Christian Guardino

Darci Lynne

In the Stairwell

Just Jerk

Preacher Lawson

Puddles Pity Party

The Singing Trump

Yoli Mayor

Tonight, only seven acts will go through the semi-finals soon. The bottom three were: Yoli Mayor, Just Jerk, and Christian Guardino. The people in the audience and TV audience have to choose which one will be saved. They have to use the AGT app. Members of the studio audience and the TV viewers would vote.

Only 7 acts will make it through, based on viewers’ votes.

Here’s how it got down tonight:

In the stairwell

First up was In the Stairwell’s military dance crew and the adorable dance duo Artyon and Paige were up against each other. The results were In the Stairwell got the position.

preacher lawson

Next up, The Singing Trump, Puddles’ Pity Party and comedian Preacher Lawson, more intense the results were Preacher Lawson.  Too bad for Puddles Pity Party and The Singing Trump. I hope these two acts will do great in the future.

Last season’s winner, Grace Vanderwaal, sang her new song “Moonlight” and her singing voice was absolutely fantastic.  Watch her performance.

Next on the elimination night, Darci Lynn and Angelica Hale, both were incredible performers. Couldn’t believe it, they were both save.

Darci and Oscar

Next up, the roller skating duo Billy and Emily England and Bello Nock, the daredevil who almost gave me a heart attack with the Wheel of Death.  Bello Nock was going home.

Billy and Emily

Now the bottom three with Dunkin’ Save and they once again were Yoli Mayor, Just Jerk, and Christian Guardino. The people save Christian Guardino.

Christian-Guardino

Now the judges have to pick one of the two acts, and they were Yoli Mayor and Just Jerk. It was a tie between the judges, who cannot make up their mind and they have to go with the tie breaker, and Yoli Major was chosen.

Yoili Mayor 2a

American Got Talent: LIVE SHOWS!!

The Live show of America’s Got Talent, and the contestants were ready. The judges are ready. Are you ready to vote?

Darci and Oscar

Darci Lynne, the ventriloquist, and Mel B Golden Buzzer winner. She returns to the live shows, and she was absolutely adorable, and her performance was spot on. Did she grow a couple of inches? Oscar, the socially awkward mouse, sang “Who’s Loving You,” I could not even see her lips move. I am glad she had extra training singing with your mouth close. She was fantastic! Vote, vote, vote if you want Darci to go to the finals.

Howie’s Golden Buzzer recipient, Christian Guardino, 16. The soulful singer from Patchogue, NY bellowed “Make It Rain” by Ed Sheeran.  He was good and a great singer.

Artyon and Paige, the adorable besties, performed an ode to Footloose, with an energetic dance number. It was fantastic to watch these two dancers.  Lots of energy.

Then the patriotic singers of In the Stair Well did an a cappella song called “Some Nights” by Fun. They were good, and they showed off the vocal ranges. They were fantastic. I hope they stay.  Did you vote? Vote for them.

Singing Trump

The Singing Trump is back for another performance on America’s Got Talent, and he performed a medley of two songs during the quarter-finals! The Trump impersonator sang “Shut Up, and Dance” by Walk the Moon and “U Can’t Touch This” by MC Hammer for his performance. Then he tore his pants off and revealed the American flag pants. He later joked that his pants were designed by First Daughter Ivanka Trump. He then mentioned that American could make AGT great again and bring our country together. The singing trump had more sense.

“As you said this week, there are good and bad things on both sides, right?” Howie said.  Plus, he has entertained us.

Cute as a Golden Buzzer was Angelica Hale, 9 and the youngest performer.  She sang “Clarity” he vocal range was incredible, and her voice was strong. Will she make to the next round? Will see.

bello N

Do you remember Bello Nock, who was sent home from the Judge Cuts? He came back, and he was the judges Wild Card.  The judges thought what can bring. Bello Nock ran out of idea and chose “The Wheel of Death” that was terrifying to watch. First, he was inside the wheel and then outside of the wheel, that was scary that my cat fainted.  And I don’t have a cat. Did you vote for him?

Just Jerk, the Korean Dance Crew. Look what Korean import to us – Their dancing was awesome, if we voted them for the next round, they should not bomb other countries. Their movement was spectacular. Wow. I hope people voted for them. Vote for them.

Haley-Reinhart1 + puddles

One of my favorites was Puddles Pity Party, the clown if he’s in the bottom three and Haley Reinhart (right) she was one of the finalists on American Idol, she sang with him a couple of years ago.  Vote for him again. He needs to stay in the competition or the bottom two. Tough choices for the judges. I hope they would not make us wait for the last second – that’s nerve wracking. He has a fantastic voice, and he should sing the classic that’s what he’s good for. Sing the classic puddles. Pick up those phones and vote for Puddles

Preacher Lawson was hysterically funny, and he brightens up the room, and of course, Mel B did look like Mystique from the X-men. Maybe the auditorium was cold. Maybe she cuddles with Simon to stay warm? He’s my favorite. He had great stage presence, and his jokes or story was funny. I hope he stays and I hope people voted for him.

NUP_178279_1679.JPG

Rollerblading siblings, Emily and Billy England performed their challenging, synchronized routine to Imagine Dragon‘s “Believer.” These two were incredible to watch. Did I see something sharp while there spinning around in the circle?  That was incredible. Weeks ago, she held his beard; this time was dangerous lifts, spins, and scary spins. I feel like Annabelle the doll from Annabelle: the creation just had her head pop out! I hope people would vote for them. If they don’t make it, they should go to Vegas anyway; they did perform for Britain’s Got Talents a couple of years ago.

Be sure to watch America’s Got Talent Tuesday and Wednesday 8 pm on NBC! Watch it live with your family.  You are missing the greatest show on NBC. And take a break from doing Homework!

Sharknado 5: Global Swarming

Sharknado MP

If you haven’t seen it, and you think it’s ridiculous, and probably you will see it Sharknado 5 on the Syfy channel. One thing it is a parody of one of the adventure movies from the 1980’s, well one of them. And they have very witty, clever lines and word play (more like Easter eggs in the movie or reference either to the actors or other movies.) And we were laughing at them. It was meant to do that. Make us laugh at them. We were their laugh track for the movie.

The main stars are Ian Ziering and Tara Reid. The story of the movie is quite simply Fin and April travel around the globe to save their son who’s trapped inside a Sharknado vertex porthole. April got eaten by a shark and turned into an indestructible android with nuclear powers.

This time the movie was much better than last year Sharknado 4: The Fourth Awakens. Crazy title, but the plot was when Fin and his family and the cosmos have been blissfully Sharknado-free in the five years (in the future) since the most recent attack, but now sharks and tornados are being whipped up in unexpected ways and places. You must see it.

The CGI was quite good too with the sharks and the tornado not realistic but appropriate realistic for the movie. Will it get nominated for an Emmy? I guess.

Anyway, the cameos are one of the who’s who in the entertainment business and they were:

Jena Sims as NATO Delegate Lee

Cassandra Scerbo as Nova Clarke

Masiela Lusha as Gemini

Olivia Newton-John

Dan Fogler

Charo as Queen of England

Lucy Pinder as Swedish Ambassador

Cody Linley as Matt Shepard

Gilbert Gottfried

Chris Kattan as British Prime Minister

Katie Price as Prime Minister’s PA

Caprice Bourret as Polaris

David Naughton as David Naughton

Margaret Cho

Chloe Lattanzi as Electra

Fabio as The Pope

Kathie Lee Gifford as Herself

Hoda Kotb as Herself

Al Roker as Himself

Bret Michaels

Tony Hawk

Greg Louganis

Russell Hodgkinson as Steven Beck

Ross Mullan as Dr. Wobbegon

Abby Lee Miller

Clay Aiken

And they were hysterical to watch, either they were eaten by sharks or if the sharks spit them out! It was funny.

Rent it if you get a chance. Or Netflix and chill for a date night in front of your TV, and watch it with the kids. They might like it too.  The encore for Sharknado 5 is on Saturday, August 12,  2017.

America Got Talent: Call Backs 2

Puddles the Ckown

For the second week, 20 acts will perform, and 7 will move on, that leaves 13 acts to leave the competition, but will leave with their dignity that they made it through this round. They should do the same thing when American Idol comes back in the Spring of 2018. They should have new rules of how to select the best talent.

One example would be Jokgu the piano playing chicken gave the crowd a huge response when he auditions for the first time. However, when it was time for the callbacks for a second-time audition and played with another chicken. Both chickens got stage fright and one poop out an egg, I guess they were out. And I had fried chicken for supper.

For the guest judge, they brought recording artist DJ Khaled to help identify real talent for the evening.

It was no surprised that Khaled had a soft spot for one of the singers, they were other singers who were also great, but he had to pick one of the acts. I think they should change the golden buzzer rules watch all the acts first and then pick one to go to the live shows. Evidently, Khaled chooses Chase Goehring. He was trying to push the button again for Evie Clair, but it did not work, only act for each week, bummer.

Evie Clair 1

One of my favorites was Puddles Pity Party the Clown, Simon worst nightmare but this clown was special, the clown can sing. Sad clown with a fantastic voice. If this clown was on The Voice, the judges would not know who it is.  He sang a Celine Dion power ballad “All By Myself” to a huge ovation from the crowd and the judges. I bet the clown will be in the Top 5.

In the end, the judges had to choose which acts will go through the next round. I like this version of American Got Talent when the acts have to perform again for the audience and a guest judge. And the guest judge has to choose one of the acts to go through.

In this round, seven acts are saved, and they are Chase Goehring, Puddles the Sad Clown, Mirror Image, Junior and Emily, Colin Cloud, Yoli Mayor and Evie Clair.

Last week, they had Chris Hardwick, comedian and the host of The Wall a game show on NBC, gave his Golden Buzzer to 9-year-old singer Angelica Hale.

Advancing to the next round along with The Masqueraders, Sara and Hero, Singing Donald Trump, (My Favorite – don’t ask me he’s entertaining), Just Jerk, Demian Aditya, and Eric Jones

They’ll all perform at the Dolby Theater in the live rounds.

Who are your favorites?

Be sure to tune in every  Tuesday Night at 8 pm on NBC! Tuesday Night is Family Night!
