Have you ever thought when you are flying on an airplane, that you could travel into the future? That’s what happened in the new show called Manifest on NBC on Monday nights!
Michaela and Ben Stone (sister and brother) had a rocky reunion with their families when they came back from the airport. They left Jamaica in 2013 and came back in 2018. What happened, Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh, top), Ben (Josh Dallas, bottom) and Ben’s son Cal aboard Montego flight 828 and the rest of the people were assumed to be dead for the past five years.
Turbulence and lightning caused the plane to skip ahead into the future of 2018.
Be careful when you take your next flight!
Ben and Michaela realize things were different when they landed in 2018. Ben’s daughter Olive grew up while her twin brother Cal, who has leukemia, is still the same since 2013. Ben’s wife Grace move on, and he doesn’t know where to find her.
And Michaela Stone is welcome back to her job at NYPD but finds out that her boyfriend who she reluctant to marry back in 2013 for some vague reason, he is with her best friend.
That’s bummer. Don’t go missing for five years.
And also, she learns that her beloved mother got sick and passed away during her absence. Ben and Michaela now have psychic abilities to hear voices in their head and the ability to foresee future events.
Maybe she could win the lottery too?
Another passenger, by the name of Dr. Saanvi (Parveen Kaur) whose research could be the key to saving Cal’s life. Her laptop got broken during turbulence. When she came back, they were already using her regeneration experimental of stem cells in an acceleration motion.
While the rest of the survivors has a connection to the flight and maybe they have special abilities too, that will be explained in future episodes. Who are these people? And why did they survive? What is their mission?
But all of the survivors were summon to the plane and watch the explosion of their aircraft disintegrate. Meaning they can’t go back, they must try to figure out why they were sent to the future and fix whatever they need to do. It’s like your worst nightmare coming true.
It’s like Lost but different.
