Kim Possible Movie Review

This is Disney Channel first ever live action from animated successful show Kim Possible (2002- 2007).

In the movie, Kim Possible (Sadie Stanley) and her best friend Ron Stoppable (Sean Giambrone) embark on their freshman year of high school, all while saving the world from evil villains. While Kim and Ron have always been one step ahead of their opponents, navigating the social hierarchy of high school is more challenging than the action-heroes ever imagined. With Drakken (Todd Stashwick) and Shego (Taylor Ortega) lurking in the wings, Kim must rely on her family and friends on Team Possible — Ron, tech-genius Wade (Issac Ryan Brown), new friend Athena (Ciara Wilson), and Rufus, a naked mole-rat — to stop these super villains.

Sadie Stanley, this is her first movie, and she was fantastic playing the iconic role Kim Possible. She played the giggling girl on Game Shakers to superstardom on the Disney Channel. Remember her name, and she got fame! She’s from South Carolina. I hope she gets better roles in TV and movies.

Sean Giambrone

Sean Giambrone

He plays Ron Stoppable. He’s from the ABC show “The Goldberg” if you haven’t seen the show. And he’s a very successful actor too.

Ciara Riley Wilson

She plays Athena an Android. She can mimic Kim Possible moves and make it better. She’s also actor herself.  She appeared on Speechless (ABC), Bizaardvark (Disney Channel), Henry Danger (Nick) and other popular TV shows.

Patton Oswalt who voice Professor Dementor in the animated series, plays Professor Dementor, the real-life villain in the movie. And Shego played by Taylor Ortego. And Nancy Cartwright who voices animated Rufus in the TV show does the voice.

Christy Carlson Romano makes a cameo appearance she plays a pop star Poppy Blue.

Todd Stashwick plays Dr. Draken, he has been in Gotham, and Teen Wolf.

Other stars such as Alyson Hannigan Dr. Ann Possible, Issac Ryan Brown as Wade

Erika Tham as Bonnie

I don’t care what people say about this movie, Disney Channel knows how to find good upcoming talent and the cast them to make them successful in the entertainment business. Sadie Stanely will become successful. Kim Possible movie is fantastic to watch with your children. Great film and a great cast.  You will enjoy this movie!

It’s playing throughout February on the Disney Channel, watch it with your kid!

The Adventures of Baby Sitting

Baby Sitting MP 6 19 2016

Do you want to watch something free next weekend? You can save forty dollars, instead of going to a movie hall to watch the latest blockbuster movie. Who wants to see a dead body in the movie while watching the Conjuring 2: Enfield Hauntings, that really happened. When the lights came on the usher notice a someone who was still sitting on the chair, he poked the body and it fell to the floor. He was dead. That was for real? Weird. Strange. And who wants see The Game of Thrones while one of the female leads was nude in the fire. It got me watching every week. Is that appropriate for children? Finding Dory? That’s an animate movie, it’s good. I love watching animated movies. Just get it on DVD when it comes out either three to four months. And your children wanted to see it over and over again, just put in The Conjuring and that will scare your children. Just teasing don’t do that.

The Disney Channel is marking their 100th entry of original Disney Channel originally movies or DCOM.  If you have been watching Disney movies during the Memorial Day weekend in 2016, some of the movies we haven’t seen for a long time.  These are child actors who started early in their careers they either still in the acting business or ventures in adulthood with family and decided to quit show business to raise a family and have a different careers. And they still get residual checks from their films they made in the past.

The Adventures of Baby Sitting will be premiering on June 24, 2016, on the Disney Channel.  It stars Sabrina Carpenter and Sofia Carson as two competing babysitters. It is a remake of the 1987 film of the same name. 100th entry in the network’s canon of original, made-for-TV films.

It stars Jenny (Sabrina Carpenter) and Lola (Sofia Carson) (Disney Channel actors, if you don’t know them, ask your children) are two personality-opposite high school seniors with a passion for photography. Jenny needs someone to babysit a family because she can’t, and after she switches phones with Lola by accident, Lola decides to go babysit due to her needing to pay a traffic ticket.

Patty Duke

patty-duke-liv-and-maddie 2

Anna Marie “Patty” Duke (December 14, 1946 – March 29, 2016) was an American actress of stage, film, and television. She first became known as a teen star, winning an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at age 16 for her role as Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker (1962), a role which she had originated on Broadway. The following year she was given her own show, The Patty Duke Show, in which she played “identical cousins”. She later progressed to more mature roles such as that of Neely O’Hara in the film Valley of the Dolls (1967). Over the course of her career, she received ten Emmy Award nominations and three Emmy Awards, and two Golden Globe Awards. Duke also served as president of the Screen Actors Guild from 1985 to 1988.

Duke was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 1982, after which she devoted much of her time to advocating for and educating the public on mental health issues. She died on March 29, 2016.

She had three sons Sean Patrick Astin, Mackenzie Astin, and Kevin Pearce all of them are in the acting business.

Sean Patrick Astin is a well know actor, director, voice artist, and producer best known for his film roles as Samwise Gamgee in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Mikey Walsh in The Goonies (1985), and the title character of Rudy (1993).

Patty Duke played a double role again in a Liv and Maddie on the Disney Channel, it was called Grandma-A-Rooney. Many say Liv & Maddie is a modern-day successor to The Patty Duke Show. But great visual effects of making twins on the show.

Patty Duke last film is Power of the Air coming out in 2017, according to her IMDB.

What happened to the cast of Lizzie McGuire

Do you remember decades ago when Disney Channel had great shows and you wish they would come back to Disney channel? Remember they have all grown up and they all have separate careers and even dropped out of show business because they could not even get a break into a major TV or film deals. So they decided to take break. Remember they still show the classics of Disney shows on the Disney Channel after Midnight on Wednesdays for throwback Thursday or Friday Flashback for night owls who can’t sleep.

Here’s the cast of Lizzie McGuire

Hilary Duff

Sam McGuire Could’ve Been Dad Of The Year

Robert Carradine

Robert Carradine’s role as Lizzie’s dad was so realistic. He was always telling corny jokes and more importantly, he was always there for Lizzie and Matt. Flash forward to now where he’s a game show host of CBS’s King Of The Nerds.

Teen Beach 2

Mia Mitchel and Ross Lynch stars in time travel and catchy tunes of the latest Disney Originals Musical Movies. They are the best.

Ross Lynch is an American singer, songwriter, actor, and musician. He is one of the founding members of the pop rock band R5. He is best known for his debut role as Austin Moon on the Disney Channel original series Austin & Ally.

Maia Mitchell is an Australian actress and singer. She is best known for her role as Brittany Flune in the children’s television series Mortified for the Nine Network, and as Natasha Ham in the Seven Network’s teen drama Trapped. For American audiences, her first television role in the US was in the TV series Jessie. She currently co-stars in the ABC Family drama, The Fosters as Callie Jacob. She also co-starred with Ross Lynch in the Disney Channel original films Teen Beach Movie and Teen Beach 2 as McKenzie.

Grace Phipps is an American actress and singer. She played Amy in The Nine Lives of Chloe King until its cancellation after ten episodes. She was also cast as April Young in The Vampire Diaries. She appeared in ten episodes in season four, one of which was a voice performance. In 2013, she starred in the Disney Channel Original Movie Teen Beach Movie along with Ross Lynch and Maia Mitchell.

Garrett Clayton is an American actor, singer, and dancer. He began his career at Crestwood High School in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, performing in many of the drama club’s productions. He is best known for portraying Tanner in Teen Beach Movie, a Disney Channel Original Movie, directed by Jeffrey Hornaday, and the role of Blake in the Lifetime movie Holiday Spin, co-starring Ralph Macchio.

The movie starts at the end of summer when the students have to go back to school, that’s where all musicals starts – in school.

Who’s that coming from the beach without getting their wet, it’s Lela (Grace Phipps) and the hunky silly Tanner (Garrett Clayton).

Both of them are coming from the set of “West Side Story”. Sounds familiar, “Teen Beach” fans.?

Mack and Brady are happy to see them, but the time traveling can really screw up history. Especially, when Lela and Tanner friends decide to come from the past 1962 and to the beach in the future (2014) and started to disappeared in a sparkling and poof way in an out of existence in the future from the movie. They were movie characters in a film, but when they come to the real world in another movie. (It’s a movie in an movie), they disappear from existence in the future and the movie wasn’t made. Did you get that? Did you follow that?

Great screenplay and clever plot twist in this writing of the story, but most of it was the songs and dance numbers. They were catchy and memorable songs mix with 1960’s music and today’s dance music. I enjoyed this movie when watching this with my kids. And my kids want to see it again.

Dairy of a Wimpy Kid: Dogs Day.

Sometime being a teenager is all in the mind of being a teenager, but when I watch ‘Dairy of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days’ it reminds of me of my days as a teenager when I was in middle school. I was friendly with a girl of my dreams, but we ended up as good friends, she did like me, but I did not want to jeopardize the relationship, but my best friend and especially my older sibling always pulling pranks on me.

‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ series based on Jeff Kinney’s books, since I am older now, I do read the books in the library and put them back on the selves. I would feel embarrassed reading a children’s book; especially I am an adult now.

The movie was great and I really like it.  The story is the school is out for the summer, and Greg is ready for the days of summer, when all his plans go wrong. What on earth is he going to do all summer?

Staring Zachary Gordon, he plays Gregg, He’s from Oak Park, California. He has been in numerous and memorable movies such as  R.L. Stine’s “The Haunting Hour,” Children Hospital (2011),  Because I Said So (2007), Desperate Housewife (2007), Georgia Rules (2007) with Lindsay Lohan,  and National Treasure: Book of Secrets, (2007). He was busy back then.

Robert Capron began his acting career when he was eight years old by enrolling in an after school drama program sponsored by Trinity Repertory Company. Later, that year he landed a role as Turkey Boy in Trinity’s production of A Christmas Carol. Since that time, Robert has performed a variety of roles on stage. Recently, Robert has turned his efforts to film. Robert’s first principal role was in Bride Wars where he played Robert. Shortly thereafter he earned a role as Young Dave’s pal in the movie Sorcerer’s Apprentice. Robert’s role as Rowley in Fox’s three-movie franchise Diary of A Wimpy Kid (2010, 2011) is perhaps his most recognized role to date. The third installment, Dog Days, it’s out now. In 2010, Robert landed his first voiceover role as Bob in the Tim Burton directed movie ‘Frankenweenie’, set for release on October 5th 2012. In April 2012, Robert played Young Curly in the movie ‘The Three Stooges.’ Looking ahead, Robert will be playing Derek in the 3D CGI motion-capture version of Tarzan which is set for release in 2013. In addition to theater, and film, Robert has also appeared on television as a guest star on ABC’s The Middle, and as the lead on two episodes of The Hub Network’s The Haunting Hour.

Peyton List from the Disney Channel hit series “Jessie” she started as on Soap Opera called ‘As the World Turns’ and stardom did catch up on her.

Karan Brar is also from the Disney Channel hit series “Jessie.” He started out in the first movie  Diary of  a  Wimpy Kid (2010).

So please watch ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days’ out now.

64th Emmy Nominees were in Pajamas

If you have gotten up pretty early to watch the Emmy nominations on TV, this morning and see Jimmy Kimmel in pajamas they always have the announcements very early in the morning. I am still asleep at eight in the morning, and I usually get up by nine in the morning. If it is eight here on the eastern coast America, it will be five in the morning in California.

Anyway, the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards were announced this morning, while I was drinking my coffee in my bath robe. It’s a long list.

Kerry Washington of “Scandal” and Jimmy Kimmel, in pajamas, who is hosting the Emmy this year on ABC in September 23, 2012.

My favorites were nominated, and they were “Good Luck Charlie” and “Wizards of Waverly Place” on the Disney Channel.  The list includes many of last year’s nominees, including “Mad Men,” which has taken the drama series Emmy for four consecutive years, and “Modern Family,” which has won twice for comedy series. Very funny show and I am watching the reruns during the summer time.

New to the ballot are “Veep,” “Girls” and “New Girl” actress Zooey Deschanel. “Girls” on HBO wasn’t that funny at all, and the story wasn’t that great as a reality picture it, but I hope the “New Girl’” Zooey Deschanel wins an Emmy for performance. She deserved it.
