The stars was out. I meant on Dancing With the Stars. It was a spectacular night of dancing.  The light-footed Sherri Shepard from  The View, Melissa “Half Pint” Gilbert, tennis pro Martina Navratilova, Gladys Knight sans Pips, and Jaleel White from “Family Matters” do you remember the Urkle Dance? He wants to win DWTS not repeat the past, but he was famous for the Urkle dance, but he’s not going to do that – he’s a man now. Joining them are the judges Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli, and Carrie-Ann Inaba.

Derek Hough was paired with Extra! Talk show host Maria Menounos, the dancing was excellent, and everything Derek Hough touches turn into a gold winning performance, except for one thing. It was Maria Menouno’s laughter, that was annoying, but if Derek makes her dance and not to laugh, he might win again.

Jack Wagner’s soap opera/rock star/Heather Locklear leading man status, remember “MelrosePlace”?  His dancing partner is Anna Trebunskaya, and they were doing the Foxtrot. Even though Jack is older than Anna, for lunch they went out to a restaurant order their meal and ask the server if his meal was a senior discount.

Green Bay Packers’ Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd, early dismissal from Metta World Peace? Who? – Ron Artest. He should have kept his real name. Anyway, Donald and Peta did a rigorous dance move with the cha-cha, and it was good.  Donald Driver was driven.

Gavin DeGraw, musician and singer, was paired with reigning champion Karina Smirnoff, they did the Foxtrot. It was good, but if they have used one of his songs, he will be better. It was a good foxtrot.

They got to put a Disney star on the show, Roshon Fegan, “Shake it Up,” 20, partner with Chelsie Hightower. He shook his bon-bon, in a high energy cha-cha performance. He is a hip-hop dancer, and he dances on the show, if you haven’t seen him dance before. Catch an episode of “Shake it Up” on the Disney channel. His cast mates were there to support him. I Can’t wait to see him how he does it, and I hope he listens to his dance partner and stay on the show for a good long time.

Sherri Shepherd, “The View” and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy, did the fox trot. Her attitude was so infectious that the judges were willing to overlook her literal missteps. Even Len thought she was, “Fun fun fun.”  Sherri should stick with dancing and anything that has the word “Sherri” in the song it should be played. It motivates her. And by the way, she left her boobs on the dance floor. So dance contestants don’t slip.

Laura Gilbert and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are dance partners.  She asked if he ever saw a TV show called “Little House on the Prairie” Maksim said no, and he has not seen an episode of her, they probably they dubbed the show in Russia and found out quite hysterical to watch it in Russia.

William Levy, the hot Spanish Mexican heart throb dance with Cherly Burke and she loves her job. So does Carrie Ann too, and man he can dance, I think.  When they finished their dance routine, the audience melted with excited, they were good. He’s a keeper.  Bruno declared that William was overdressed, he got the same clothes; like Bruno, he wanted to see fewer clothes on William Levy. Len gave positive remarks, but probably out of fear of inciting an angry mob.

Martina Navratilova, 55, and tennis player Tony Dovolani was her dance partner, and it was good. It was her first time wearing a sequin dress, heels and extension in 20 years. Most of her time would be playing in her tennis outfit, but when she danced, she was elegant.

We may not know Katherine Jenkins, 31-year-old Welsh opera star who has sold 6 million albums in Europe and starred on the British version of The Celebrity Apprentice.  We may not remember her, but she performed on DWTS a couple of years ago. Her  dancing was magnificent with Mark Ballas and it earned the highest score with the judges. But will American audience loved her and her dancing with Mark Ballas. We will see as she progress.

Motown legend Gladys Knight brought the house down with her energetic performance. Her dance partner was Tristan MacManus. Carrie Ann’s crawl across the judge’s desk, she could have walked around the desk and then hug her. Gladys Knight did an excellent job.

I hope he stays, Jaleel White. He played the annoying character “Steve Urkle” on the “Family Matter.” Do you remember the Urkel dance? That was the craze back then, he doesn’t want to be remembered by the Urkle dance, but he really wants to win, and I hope he does. His dance partner Kym Johnson and Jaleel sailed across the dance floor, and they were fantastic. Remember to vote for Jaleel White, maybe he will do the Urkel dance.
