Oscars 2019: The Queen is in the Building

The Oscar opened with Adam Lambert, American Idol alumni, singing a medley of Queen ’s hit songs from Bohemian Rhapsody. Adam Lambert and the Queen band will be touring this summer. Plus, Adam Lambert is a fantastic singer.

Since there was no host for the show, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Maya Rudolph lighten up the mood, more like Bob Hope, and Johnny Carson would do make them laugh. Comedians make a good host. Next year, would you please get James Corden he is funny please check him out on CBS Late, Late Show with James Corden. Or Tina Fey?

The top winner for the night was Bohemian Rhapsody with four awards for sound mixing, sound editing, and film editing, While Rami Maleck got for best actor.

Roma got three awards, including best director, Best foreign film, and best cinematography.

Mahershala Ali

Green Book won for Best Picture and best supporting actor for Marhershala Ali.

Best Visual went to First Man

For the category for best costume, Melissa McCarthy and Tyree Henry strolled on to the stage wearing their costumes. Melissa McCarthy dressed in bunnies on her gown from the Favourite and her red hair from Mary Queen of Scots, while Henry dressed as Mary Poppins. The puppet rabbit was having difficulty opening the envelope. So the Oscar goes to Ruth E. Carter for Black Panther, and also Black Panther won for the best music score and production design.

Dana Carvey and Mike Myers present Bohemian Rhapsody. They reunite together on stage and present Bohemian Rhapsody as best picture nominee.

Golden Globes 2019: A Golden Rhapsody

Sunday night was the Golden Globes, and I was a surprise of the winners.  Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, best-animated film; Roma for best foreign film, Regina King for If Streets Could Talk; Mahershala Ali for Green Book;  Christian Bale for Vice; Glenn Close The Wife (2017), while Bohemian Rhapsody won for best film and Rami Malek for best actor.

It was an incredible night for all the winners. Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh were incredibly funny, they remind me of Bob Hope and Bing Crosby, hosting the Golden Globes. Bob Hope did the same thing poking fun at the celebrities in a good way. These actors and writers study the greats of how to write comedy, and they were funny.

Carol Burnett

Speaking of comedy writing, we have to praise Carol Burnett, a legendary and pioneer of sketch comedy. She had the best comedy writing team and the ensemble of actors and singers to perform on her show in the 1970s. The show won multiple awards — Golden Globes and Emmys.

So they gave Carol Burnett a Lifetime Achievement Award in Television, the Carol Burnett Award. She deserved it.

Plus, the ratings for the show was up from last year.  Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh should host the Oscars in 2019.

Taylor Swift will be in Cats on Broadway this summer of 2019

James Corden for Oscars Host

THE LATE LATE SHOW WITH JAMES CORDEN

Hey, Oscars have you ever consider James Corden, as the Oscars host for 2019. He will be perfect for the job. He’s an actor, singer, and the host his late-night show on CBS. He does a lot of parodies of movies and singers on the show. And funny too.

The night when there was a screw up between La La Land and Moonlight, the next day he did a parody of it, and it was hysterical. He also does crosswalk the musicals and carpool karaoke. His show is an Emmy award winner too.

By the way, he has hosted the Grammy’s and Tony awards ceremony. Why not the Oscars?

Do you want hot-less emcee for the Oscars in 2019? Bob Hope was the master of the hosting gig for the Oscars when he was alive. (1940 – 1979) you can’t bring up the dead to host, even Johnny Carson. In 1989, there was no host for the Oscars only the announcer announcing who’s coming up on stage.

But you do need a comedian who lightens up the crowd. And since people are so political and don’t like President Trump and what he is doing, that will bring down the ratings. You want the ratings to go up, and the Oscars should be entertaining to watch. Please tell the actors to thank their cat or whoever made them successful in becoming an actor.  Actors deserve their shot of fame and recognition of there work.

Carol Brunetti hosted the show in 1973, is there a possibility for her to do it,  even though she’s getting a special award, for the Golden Globe Awards in 2019.

Please consider James Corden to host the Oscars in 2019, if he says no, oh well. James Corden will be the best host.
