How to Prepare for an Earthquake

The earthquake in Japan reminds us to tell you we are living in Earthquake Country and if even a much smaller quake hits here in Elizabeth City, NC can be catastrophe than Japan and California.

It’s good to stock up on food you normally eat, etc. Forget about the meat loaf you had yesterday, can food dinner, bottle water and first aid kit. Have a survival kit when possible. Do not use candles as a light. Buy batteries all sorts of sizes, for radio and walkie talkies. The walkie talkies are so much better than cell phones and they have a cheap plan – due to battery plan.

Right now, Japan is releasing radioactive vapor in the air for compression for there nuclear power plant. Resident living around the nuclear power plant are urged to evacuate immediately and take their pet lizards with them in air tight containers. If the lizards come out and mixed with the radioactive vapor, more catastrophes could happen. Miniature Godzilla would appear everywhere and that’s no good.

So please stock up on food, water bottles, and fist aid kit for any disaster comes your way.  If you are building an ark, please call me, I want to join. I would bring toilet paper. Wal-Mart is having a sale “Get one and Get One Free” it said “Get One” and I got one.

When power goes out, there’s no chance to update your status on Facebook. The computer may not work or the cell phone towers may not work either.  The only pleasure of entertainment one can have is read and play charades – be clean.

On a seriously note, please have a survival kit when needed during any storms and earthquake when possible.
