Ladybird is an interesting movie, and it’s a dark comedy about a teenager who’s nickname is Lady Bird, and no she’s not a ladybird. Or a bird, but a teenager. Laura Marano from the Disney’s Austin and Ally stars in the Oscar Nominated film.  Saoirse Ronan is an interesting and fascinating actor you may recognize her from Hanna (2011) and The Lovely Bones (2009). Since Ladybird won the Globes for the lead actress, it did not win for best director by Greta Gerwig. However, she is nominated for the Oscar which is better. Watch the review Lady Bird

Three Billboard Outside Ebbing, Missouri. After months have passed without a culprit in her daughter’s murder case, Mildred Hayes makes a bold move, painting three signs leading into her town with a controversial message directed at William Willoughby, the town’s revered chief of police. When his second-in-command, Officer Dixon — an immature mother’s boy with a penchant for violence — gets involved, the battle is only exacerbated. If you go to Ebbing Missouri and find out there’s no Ebbing Missouri then you are lost.  Ebbing Missouri does not exist, but they did film it in Asheville, NC and near the mountains. Road trip.
