Actor Dough Hutchison, 51 and Courtney Stodden, 16 got married in May 2011 –wait a minute. He’s older to get an AARP and a senior discount and his bride possible – a driver license?
That was my dream too, well I am old enough to be someone’s dad, but for Dough, he’s older to be her uncle. Can age really be a number or the number of wrinkles on his face? And his bride, is she really 16, she doesn’t look like 16, but older. Is being in your 30’s is the new 16. Even I am older, but I look like I am in my 30’s, which is not bad. Do women really mature faster, for her sake, I can’t tell her apart?
Courtney’s mother Krista Stodden confirmed that she had to sign a legal consent form allowing her daughter to marry Hutchison before the two tied the knot in Vegas last month. Oh, and by the way, she’s also totally OK with her teenage daughter marrying a man 35 years her senior.
“We are totally supportive of this marriage,” Krista said. “Doug is a wonderful man and we love him.”
But before you start calling Hutchison a sicko, take a look at the picture. It’s perfectly legal as long the parents sign a consent form for their daughter could married him. As long he has money, it’s fine with me. But will it last?
Oh just imagine the lovely country tunes this marriage will inspire.
