A Quite Place – the Review

A-Quiet-Place MP.jpg

If they hear you, they hunt you.

The movie tells the story of a family under siege. To survive, they have to follow one abiding law of safety: If anyone makes a sound — virtually any sound at all — then that person will be a goner. It also means you too. Don’t make a noise when watching the movie too. If you do a skeletal creature with crab-like pincers and a head like a metallic melon will burst out of the woods and make mincemeat of the noise-maker. Especially, when parents bring their babies to see a PG13 movie and don’t understand, little children can get nightmares or even poop in their pants and stink up the theater too. Don’t bring babies to a movie theater, they can’t stop crying, and they could bump their heads on the seat. It’s too dark to see!

But if everyone simmers down and put a cork in it, or a real cork, they’ll succeed in eluding the monsters in their midst. Life will go on (but quietly!). At times, we might be watching an “Alien” sequel in which the creature had mated with a very nasty and scolding the librarian. Shhhh!

This movie is a horror/thriller it would be nice to bring a significant other, in case someone gets scared and need to jump on you, then it would be nice.

I went on a date with a woman to see a horror movie, when the lights were on. She was gone. Not lucky. I enjoyed the movie; it had me on edge for the entire film. I enjoyed it, my date – not. When there were scarier scenes, I would jump on her. She did not like it.

American Got Talent: Judgement Day

Nick Cannon

If you missed last night America Got Talent, it’s was tough day or week for the judges, they have to decide who will go to the live show next week and let the audience decided whom they want to be crowned as America Got Talent winner.

In the kid’s variety, we have 9-year-old whiz kid and piano player Adrian Romoff, where he’s smart going to college and plays beautiful on the piano.

In the music groups, was the tough one for judges because most of the band contestants want to play their own original music. Beach Avenue, Kieran and Finian Makepeace decided to perform original music with mixed review, but they got a slot in Radio City.

The band group of Jonah Smith did qualified as music group because he perform an Eric Clapton song “Can’t Find My Way Home” his drummer quit on a last minute so he got a new drummer that he knew and he was great.

Come on band groups stick to the rules original music is good, but if you want to perform at Radio City Music Hall perform a good cover song and get on the show.

A family act of 12 members, Willis clan performed “Fireflies” by Owl City, it looks like they will go to Radio City Music Hall too.

The disappointed was the bow-and-arrow master Bob Markworth missed both of his targets. Then, Mudslinger the pig, couldn’t add three and two (pig brain – not that smart, they prefer the mud). The Dustin Dojo, didn’t do anything to convince the judges (pig brain – not that smart, they prefer the mud).

For the male singers, Frank Dimitri, Sal Gonvalez and Justin Rhodes all delivered forgettable performances and were sent home. Of the three, Rhodes was probably the most controversial elimination and Jaycob Curlee, who the judges ultimately sent through.

For the dance groups the standouts were Baila Conmigo, a group of rapid salsa dancers, one mistake from the dance group could devastated the group, either they will keep her or let her go. The Jasmine Flowers dance group made it through despite their use of the fans.

For the acrobats, the Xpogo stunt team attempted to take their act to the next level by lighting their pogo sticks on fire only to see the fire go out. And acrobatic couple Richard and Ashlee had a brief brush with disaster when Richard almost dropped Ashlee, but safely to the floor.

Jodi and Travis Story

Jodi & TravisWhen I heard another woman committed a crime and killing her boyfriend, she could easily dumped the guy, why go all the way and stabbing him.  This was an unusual case a fatal attraction gone wrong. Jodi Arias took it too far and makes national news and now a TV movie about the crime she did.  She was found guilty.

The role of Jodi will be played Tania Raymonde from “Lost” can’t find no good movies parts might as well do true crime TV of the week.  NBC used to do this back in the early 1990’s making true crime movies of the week, which will bring up the NBC ratings.  Do a simulcast broadcast on NBC and Lifetime, which will bring up the ratings for NBC.

“The Jodi Arias Story” great title for the movie, the movie is being filmed in the Los Angeles area. Arias was found guilty of first-degree murder last Wednesday in the death of her ex boyfriend, Travis Alexander, who she stabbed 29 times, including slashing his throat, and shot once in the head on June 4, 2008, according to trial testimony.  Wow stabbing, slashing  and shooting, oh my.

Jesse Lee Soffer of “The Mob Doctor” is playing Alexander and “will bring home the fact that a young man died needlessly here.” The network hopes to bring to life Arias’ and Alexander’s relationship “in a way that only movies can.”

Jesse is a handsome fellow and he brings the humanity to Travis. Jesse understands that Travis was a charismatic young man, and a successful motivational speaker. We see why Jodi fell for him. And for the Jodi, sexually pleasure, with all the moaning and groaning of love making. Which will include dirty phone calls, naked pictures, and sextexting on cell phones with all lot of drop calls, it was second hand cell phone.  They were young couple in love and they had kinky sex. The director had a challenge and what to show on basic cable channel.

The story is the point of view of Travis when he was victim and Jodi did and what she did, before he got killed. People would be fascinated with Jodi and Travis relationship and how it ended.

The movie will premiere on Lifetime channel in June 2013.
