White House Down

White House Down

This is  a highly anticipation  movie of the summer, maybe a summer blockbuster movies already started, maybe Channing Tatum will take off his shirt like when he did on Magic Mike.  I had two women sitting besides me when I was watching the movie, they did not care about the plot, and all they wanted to see is Channing Tatum. One of them women looked at me and ask if this was Magic Mike the sequel.

“No, it’s White House Down” I said.

“Ohh, I don’t have a TV” said the attractive women.

That explains it.

Anyway, Channing Tatum plays Cale, an earnest, overachievement D.C. cop who saves President Sawyer – Jamie Fox, wielding heavy weapons with more energy than conviction – and foils the terrorist. This movie reminds of Bruce Willis ‘Die hard in a White House’ and Channing Tatum is much younger, stronger, muscles, and smarter, and he saves the day. The supporting cast Richard Jenkins as the top congressional official and James Wood as a turncoat Secret Service agent.  Channing Tatum daughter in the movie is played by the young and talented Joey King. You may recognize her from TV and Movies such as from TV:  Suite of Life of Zack and Cody, and Bent.  Movies: Ramona and Beezus with Selena Gomez,  Oz the Great and Powerful, and Dark Knight Rises (she shave her hair off).  This summer she will be featuring in ‘The Conjuring’ coming out this summer.  It’s a true and scary movie.  I will do a review and background of the movie with no spoilers.

Roland Emmerich, was the executive producer of “Independence Day”  and directed “White House Down.”  He used primarily the same scene from “Independence Day” instead of Aliens attacking, terrorists.  He also produced such hits such “The Day After Tomorrow”, “2012” and “Godzilla”

The story  and writer was James Vanderbilt  from “The Amazing Spider Man.”

So please check out this movie. You will not be disappointed. It will keep you awake through out the movie. Overall, this movie is good, the movie is 2 hours and 20 minutes long. So please wear diapers so you will not missed a second of the action. (No caffeine drinks)

Petra Eccleston A Spoil Rich Girl

What do you get if you are spoil and rich? You buy a house. Yah-me! Petra Eccleston, 22 did just that. She bought the Spelling House in theLos Angeles,Californiafor $150 million. Her deal was higher and she got it.

It’s like she went to her daddy and say

“Daddy, I want to buy a house”

“Which house?”

“The Spelling House in Los Angeles”

“How much is it worth?”

“150 million” Petra said while filing her nails, with her feet up in the air, getting air dry, on the sofa.

“Let’s see.” Dad  said.

A short pause from her daddy, he takes out a check book and writes a figure for her. She’s happy and the realtor is happy she got a good lump of money that the realtor can retire early at the age of 35.

Does that seem all too real, a spoil rich girl from the UK wants to buy the Spelling mansion? It’s like London Tipton from “Suite Life on Deck.” Where her father owns the London Tipton hotels all over the world, and they look the same when ever someone checked in.  What’s next for Petra Ecclestone a cruise line?

Petra Ecclestone, a former Croatian model,  dabbled in fashion design and has worked for Armani. She and fiance James Stunt reportedly plans to split their time between the manor and a six-story home inLondon. Her dad is billionaire and Formula One tycoon Bernie Ecclestone.

Why she needed a big mansion? It has 123 rooms, who’s going too stayed there? She will have parties for her clients. Who’s going to clean up the place? Maybe me, all those rooms, it’s bigger than the White House. Maybe, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s maid will be working there; will she get a daughter from James Stunt when she get’s married to Petra?

Ms. Spelling and her husband bought the property in the early 1980s and tore down the existing house to build the French chateau-style home in 1991. The home has a double staircase inspired by “Gone With the Wind.” It was considered the largest home inLos Angelesby far when it was built.

The home also includes a bowling alley, beauty salon and a garage for 100 cars.

There’s also a flower-cutting room, a china room, a “Prince Charles suite,” named after its one-time royal guest, and a library in which Ms. Spelling bound her husband’s scripts. The estate has been shown since 2008 and was officially listed in March 2009.
