Bates Motel – The Final Season

Mommy 2a

Wow. I did not know they had a lot of fans of the Bates Motel series. I was in a Neil Simon’s play called Plaza Suite, the only peephole we had was to see the actors move around the stage and watch for our cues.

Anyway, you all know what happened. If you haven’t watch it, catch it online and watch all the ten episodes or binge the series. I have been watching the series since 2013 when it premiered on A&E.

The last of the episode was “The Cord.” At the end of the fourth season, we see Norma and Norman on the floor; he wanted to die with his mother. Romero tries to revive his wife Norma, but she dies, and Norman lives.

Then Norman went shopping to get few items from the hardware store, and he found a saleslady that look like his mother, he thought he had seen a ghost of his mother. Apparently, it was a young woman reaching for an item on the top shelf.

Norman did not know she was married when Norman met her husband with another woman at the hotel. He was suspicious, so he gave the guy the key to room 1 right next to the office. He peeped and watch, probably studying of how to get the moves on with a woman. Great security cameras he had there.

I should take notes. Make a peep hole but, I have brick walls.

This season was intense; Norman became Norma when Norman was questioning by the police, the police had no idea who he was and who they were interviewing. Norman was possessed or having a hallucinating when he became Norma.

Even Dylan, his half-brother, saw the transformation when Norman was fighting with his mom Norma.  He was fighting with himself! Dylan knew he was crazy and he needed help.

This is a real disorder; it is called dissociative identity disorder, DID previously known as multiple personality disorder (MPD), is a mental disorder characterized by at least two distinct and relatively enduring identities or dissociated personality states. Better known as a Split personality!

Since Alex Romero wanted to kill Norman because Norman killed his wife and his mom, Norma. Norman didn’t die yet! Alex saw the dead body of his wife (Norma) in the snow, and Norman killed him.

When Dylan, heard the killings again. The Police were looking for Norman; he was missing.

This episode was crazy and insane.

Dylan, decide he wanted to stop this mayhem of killing. Norman decided to invite Dylan for dinner and who was the dinner guest? Mom from the grave, he dressed her up and prop her on the chair by the table.

That’s was sick and crazy.

Dylan knew Norman wasn’t right, but the food he cooked looks great too bad it went cold because they did not eat. Dylan confronted Norman in the kitchen. Norman grabbed the knife and attacked Dylan. Dylan shot his brother to death!

Norman last words were, “Thank you” he wanted to be with his mother the whole time.

So, Norman wanted to be with his mother; he should have killed himself a long time ago.  Either that rot in jail for life. Killing Norman was a better idea.

What did you think of the Bates Motel and the final season on A&E?  Would they do another Alfred Hitchcock reboot and make it into a mini -series?

Here some interested facts about the movie. First it is inspired by the actual suicides of Amanda Todd and Audri Pott. It has to be based on some ideas in real life for the movie can be made. It was filmed in one house in different rooms. They were close by. To keep the film suspenseful and believable, each take had script alterations on the fly and the cast were encouraged to improvise and react to the unexpected story changes. It was Shelley Hennig’s idea to the producers to have them act out the entire film in one single take, after going through long takes lasting ten minutes. Shot in one long take, in real time, with the characters on actual computers. Production lasted 16 days total, including six 12 hour days of principal photography, three days of pick ups and then a few more re-shoots and other stuff.

When the actress who plays Val Rommel (Courtney Halverson) was in a movie theater watching the movie for the first time, someone pulled the fire alarm and the theater had to be evacuated. Several people in the crowd waiting outside joked that it must have been the ghost of Laura Barns. It’s a movie, don’t take it seriously.

When people were watching this movie, it wasn’t that scary, it was suspenseful. It may be bad acting, but the movie was interesting to watch. It’s different. The budget for this movie was 1,000,000 but it grossed over 32 million dollar. A possible sequel? It might.

Go rent it tonight.

Transformers: Age of Extinction

Did anyone saw the movie Transformer 4: Age of Extinction? This movie was epic. The visual effects and the massive destructive with a plot should get an nominated for best visual effects again.

Anyway, the plot, the father is a robotic engineer mechanic. He fixes an 8-track players and VCRs to make a living with his daughter. In which his daughter did not know what was an 8-track and a VCR, way beyond her teen years. He made one robot that would deliver beer, but it had a conscious and did not give him one. He finds a truck that crashed into a theater. What was a truck doing in a theater anyway? If a truck crashes into our movie hall, it had better get a renovation and possible many upgrades. Or, was it a bad review, when it crashed into a theater. It was Optimus Prime out of commission and dad reactivated Optimus Prime with jumper cables to a car battery. Way cool.

At the meantime, a powerful, ingenious executives and a group of scientists attempt to learn from past Transformer incursions and push the boundaries of technology beyond what they can control. More transformers robots.

Production

The screenplay is written by Ehren Kruger, who served as screenwriter for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The music score is done by Steve Jablonsky especially Bawwng noise.

This is the first film in the series to feature an entirely new cast of human characters and the first to feature the Dinobots. Returning Transformers include Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Ratchet, and Brains.

A sequel to Transformers: Dark of the Moon, the film takes place four years after the invasion of Chicago. Like its predecessors, the film is directed by Michael Bay and executive produced by Steven Spielberg.

Shia LaBeouf would not be in this film Mark Walberg replaced him. Shia got arrested for misconduct and he’s working on other film projects. There were rumors who will replace the director Michael Bay, they were numerous directors who wanted to director, but Michael Bay end up to directing the latest Transformer movie.

If this movie becomes successful, will it become another sequel? You have to remember giants Robots do not age. People do. A possible fifth?

When I was watching the movie, I’ve notice there were young children below at the age 10 years old watching the movie. Is this appropriate for younger children to watch it, because of its graphic violence image content in the movie? Don’t bring children below at the age of 10 to the movie, they will get bored with the action. Trust me. Rent from Netflix or watch Frozen for the 100 time.
