Maleficent : Mistress of Evil Movie Review

If you haven’t seen Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. You differently want to see it. If you are a fan of the first movie, you will not be disappointed. I bet everyone wants to be there favorite Maleficent character during the Halloween season. Her costume is marvelous as Maleficent, even the cinematography and visual effects were incredible to watch. There are lots of Disney movies that came out this year, and I hope one of them will be nominated for an Oscar in 2020.

Angelina Jolie, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Ella Fanning, they captivate the screen, so did Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple, and Lesly Manville. Harris Dickinson replacing Breton (from the first film)

The screenwriter Linda Woolverton wrote the scripts for Ewoks, The Real Ghostbuster, and Ducktales, she also wrote books Starwind and Running Behind the Wind. She wrote the Beauty and the Beast for the film and stage version and co-wrote The Lion King (1994).

The story is, years have gone by Maleficent, and her god-daughter Aurora begins to question the complexity of family ties that bind them. As they pulled in different directions by impending nuptials, unexpected allies, and dark forces at play.

By the way, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is truly magnificent and worth watching. The movie has it all drama, action, and intense scenes. You have to see it to believe it. Don’t believe in the ratings from other websites. Please check it out yourself this weekend.

The story is a fairy sorcerer who befriends a future king and the future king betray her by clipping her wings off for he can be king. Maleficent curses the newborn baby when she turns 16 years old, she would prick her finger and fall into a deep sleep coma and be awaken by a kiss of her true love. The theme of the story was sleeping beauty and her prince, I hope it was me. Not!

Angelina Jolie’s is spell binding to watch, X-men the next franchise movie, it’s okay I rather get that on DVD, I am not that crazy over the X-men movies. But for Angelina Jolie as Maleficent bad witch gone good was incredible to watch. The make-up people really transform into a fairy from when she was young to an adult. Will it be nominate for Oscars for make-up or the technology artistry in film making? In others words, Maleficent is magnificent.

Elle Fanning, known for her breakout role in Super8 (2011), starring roles in Phoebe in Wonderland, Somewhere, and We Bought a Zoo. She received nominations for a Saturn Award, a Young Artist Award, a Broadcast Film Critics Association Award, a Teen Choice Award, a Scream Award, an MTV Movie Award, and more including a special Spotlight Award at the Hollywood Film Festival. Elle fanning is a blonde, fair and endlessly sweet, Aurora was “my favorite princess always,” said Elle Fanning. She was fourteen when she Maleficent and now is she is 16, she describe her character “Aurora is actually supposed to be,” said Elle Fanning “a little delicate, and sings and frolics around the forest.” Sleeping Beauty was an animated musical in 1959 to make a transition into a live action, it would be awkward if she sang in the movie and the movie will be a total different.
