CE3K 1

When I saw Close Encounters of the Third Kind.  I was barely a teenager back then. My family and I saw the movie together, and I was mesmerized by this movie. Aliens do exist! Not really, it was just a movie. The sound track of the movie was amazing also. And I believe in UFOs.

A year later, my family and I witness a UFO flying across the night sky. It was scary to see it in the night sky. What would it do?

40 years ago, this blockbuster movie of Close Encounters of the Third Kind was coming back to theaters. It’s a masterpiece directed by Steven Spielberg, and people should see it on the big screen, because of the sound and visual is amazing. If you haven’t seen it, and you see the title on your TV while scrolling up and down to see what shows and movies are playing and caught a glimpse of it. Watch it on the big screen. The movie is old, but it is digital restore by means making the picture clear and the sound more crystal clear and the bass too. By the way, this movie won an Oscar for best Cinematography in the movie, that’s why I like photography today. Creating beautiful images with either people or objects.

Cable man Roy Neary (Richard Dreyfuss) is one of the several people who experience a close encounter of the first kind, witnessing UFOs flying through the night sky. He is subsequently haunted by a mountain like an image in his head and becomes obsessed with discovering what it represents, putting a severe strain on his marriage. Meanwhile, government agents around the world have a close encounter of the second kind, discovering physical evidence of otherworldly visitors in the form of military vehicles that went missing decades ago suddenly appearing in the middle of nowhere. Roy and the agents both follow the clues they have been given to reach a site where they will have a close encounter of the third kind: contact.

Here are some fun facts of Close Encounters of the Third Kind and they are:

  • The term “third kind,” meaning physical contact with extraterrestrials, comes from J. Allen Hynek’s book The UFO Experience: A Scientific Inquiry.
  • The aliens that come out of the spaceship were played by young girls.
  • Security for CE3K was so tight, Spielberg himself was turned away one day when he forgot his ID card.
  • When the mothership arrives at Devils Tower, an upside down R2-D2—from Star Wars—can be seen on the rim of the vessel.
  • The unforgettable five-note theme used for communication with the aliens was picked from a compilation of 100 options from composer John William.

Go see this classic coming out this Labor Day weekend!
