Julianne Hough pushed her Golden Buzzer for Lucas Islam, and he was ecstatic.
Lucas sang “She Used to Be Mine” from Sara Bareillas’ Waitress. Lucas grew up putting shows in a house along with his sister. And he would go to see Broadway plays by playing Broadway lotteries and finding discounted tickets. He even saw Kinky Boots eight times.
“I love the audience. I love the crowd. I love the stage. The props. The costume. I want to be up there. I want to do what they do. Broadway is soo good.” Lucas said.
Luke is from New York City, and he is a member of the Wingspan Arts in Manhattan. He performed with a fellow artist Gianna Harris, and they sang “The Last Night of the World” from the Broad musical Miss Saigon.
So he’s going to Hollywood to perform LIVE, and we have to vote. So America we have to vote too.
Other Golden Buzzer moments are:
Detroit Youth Choir (Terry Crew’s Choice)
Tyler Butler-Figueroa (Simon Cowell’s choice)
Joseph Allen (Mandel’s choice)
Kodi Lee (Union’s choice)
I hope the contestants who got the Golden Buzzer are practicing before the appearance of the live show in Hollywood.
And the contestants who will be going through the Judges Cut next week I hope they are practicing and they have to perform one more time in front of a live audience and a celebrity judge. Some will go, and some will stay – that’s Hollywood. Even though they get rejected for some reason, I hope talent agents see some potential in them and give them second in life to make their dream comes true.
Be sure to watch America’s Got Talent on NBC Tuesday! Watch it LIVE.
