If you have not seen Things Heard and Seen, it is based on Elizabeth Brundage’s 2016 novel All Things Cease to Appear; it follows a family from Manhattan who has an encounter with the paranormal in New York’s Hudson Valley. According to the author, it was inspired by a real-life murder and the author’s personal experiences.
It is a Netflix Original Movie, and it stars Amanda Seyfried, James Norton, Ana Sophia Heger, F. Murray Abraham, and Natalia Dyer (Stranger Things).
It is set in the 1980s, the couple Catherine and George Claire (Amanda Seyfried and James Norton) attempt to adapt to their new country home and a rural community with their daughter Franny (Ana Sophia Heger).
The movie is quite good and scary. If you are a fan of paranormal films, this one might scare you. The house itself has a dark secret. In one scene, there is a rag doll that looks like Annabelle, which shocked me.
