Freaky Friday The Musical

FF Movie Poster 1

People may like it, or people will love it and before we swap our bodies with our children, make sure they take a bath. This version of Freaky Friday the musical is one of the best, and it is based on a Broadway play in 2016. The musical numbers were fantastic and entirely different than the rest of the remakes from the past.  The previous movies were 1976 with Barbara Harris and Jodie Foster, 1995 Shelly Long and Gabby Hoffman, and 2003 Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan. They should make another one, and this time with guys in the leading roles, that would be more interesting to watch.

Heidi Blickenstaff is a Tony Award Nominee for Something Rotten (2015), and she had a recurring role as Katherine, the mother, in the stage version of Freaky Friday at the Signature Theater in Arlington, Virginia. She is fantastic in it.

Cozi Zuehlsdorf, she wrote the opening song to Freaky Friday at the beginning of the movie in the title sequence. She is known for Dolphin tale 1 & 2, (2011 & 2014) and she has been seen in numerous in commercials and tv shows. She is fantastic. I hope she gets a recurring role on TV where she can display her talent.

Jason Maybaum he is known for Raven’s Home on the Disney Channel as Levi.

Alex Désert is best known in Station 19 on ABC, Alexander and the Terrible no good, Very Bad day, The Flash CW (2016 – 2017), and Invisible sister (2015)

Ricky He, he is known for Trial & Error (2018) NBC, and Blurt (2018)

Dara Rene this is her first Disney movie, and she was fantastic.

As you may know, the mother and her rebellious 16-year old daughter swap bodies through the magical power of a treasure hourglass. When it accidentally shatters, they must search for a matching hourglass in a game called The Hunt where high schoolers go hunting around the community to find treasures in the city. And possibly find the hourglass so they can return to their own bodies within one day. It’s entirely different from the previous movies, but the plot remains the same. An interesting take of the film.

So watch the musical version of Freaky Friday! It is currently playing on the Disney Channel.
