Assignments Are Due

I think students who take courses online classes are busier than ever before. They have a job, life, school, and children, or taking care of an elderly parent.  Are they stressed out? Of course, they are. They must manage everything and even staying up late to finish an assignment.

Time management and scheduling are the keys to be successful.  Students have two jobs. They work at their 9 to 5 job, and when they get home, they have to do more things to prepare themselves for the next task they have to do. In other words, personal stuff. And if they have a child or an older adult. They have more priority than education. Staying in good health is necessary and staying alive too.

I don’t understand why professors give the student more assignments to do. Professors tell their student to prioritize what they need to do. Have a calendar on hand, make a schedule and make time for yourself too. Other students maybe lazy and they forgot what assignments they need to do. Some students are smart, and they do assignments on time. Professors want to teach the students how to be responsible but calling their parents and telling that they missed a task – is not a good idea. Reminding the whole class when the assignment is due is the proper thing to do. If you think I am wrong, it’s like Professor doesn’t care about their students anymore and they get a bad review when the students must evaluate the professors at the end of the semester. The professors receive a grade too. Professors remind your students constantly when the assignments are due. If you think I am wrong, why you didn’t you get the award for the professor of the year award?

The professors can spam the students in their school email account and their blackboard and Moodle account to make sure they do the assignments.

Social Media helps too. But it could be awkward if you are besties with your professor on snap chat, Facebook, or Instagram. Pictures. Whoa.

The professors keep telling their students they had to be responsible for everything of they have to learn and prepared for anything. Do they still do pop quizzes in colleges, universities, and online? Students read your syllabus. If the students can’t read the syllabus, get the audio portion of the syllabus. Do they do that? Have an audio part of the syllabus? If so, that’s great, if not – you are lost.

Professors should limit their assignment or give them choices of what to do. Because students have a load of assignments and projects to do and deadlines are due.  Students need rest and sleep too. If a student gives a professor an apple, use it to your advantage, if a student is sleeping in your class throw the apple at them.

Blackboard and Moodle are now together and more convenient to do their assignments and use discussing boards to talk back and forth. It’s like a classroom where you do not have to raise your hand but engage in conservation of the subject or get help. Using a video chat may help, who wants to see a person either half-naked in their pajamas or seeing someone in the background doing inappropriate things.
