Annabelle: The Creation

Anna MP

If you love horror movies and suspense, Annabelle: The Creation will scare the crap out of you. Ever since, the first Annabelle movie wasn’t that scary enough, but it was a true story in the 1970’s when two nurses found this old Raggedy Ann doll laying around somewhere and decided to keep it and not knowing it was evil, this was a true case file from the Ed and Lorraine Warren a Roman Catholic couple who were highly controversial American paranormal investigators.

When you watch this movie, this movie will suck the air out of the theater leaving you breathless. The quietness and the stillness will make it scarier and creepy. Everything is standing still until a movement that scares the crap out of you, and you pee in your pants.

This movie will make you jump,  but don’t watch it alone, bring a friend and a pillow.

Polio-stricken Janice (Talitha Bateman, above ) and her BFF Linda (the lively Lulu Wilson, below), who basically are shunned by the older girls and forced to bunk together. In no time, they discover the dead daughter’s old bedroom, as well as one used as a space for designing doll outfits!  They see the demonic doll, and it takes the life of its own and stalks the inhabitants of the house.

David Sandberg, the director, finds inventive ways to position her around the house without losing the idea she is just a doll and not a living organism. For example, like Chucky from Child’s Play. Chucky Child’s Play is based on the same premise as Annabelle, but scarier.

The Conjuring universe as created by James Wan, and, like Conjuring 2, has ratcheted up the stakes for all to follow. And you can bet that if moviegoers react like the crowd, I saw it with an audience and it was good. I pee twice in my pants. There will be more, Wan and Peter Safran produced for New Line Cinema and Warner Bros, which unleashes the terror on Friday.

By the way, if the movie is too scary. You can leave, but make sure you watch a hilarious TV show or movie – especially comedies to get the horror images and sound from the movie out of your head. You will never know what will follow you and if you hear creepy noises in your house alone or with a couple friends with you. Watching horror movies can have that affect on the mind with the images and sound.  Watch the movie in the afternoon and later go to church.
