Melanie Amaro wins X-Factor

As you may know Melanie Amaro won the X-factor. Will she make a movie with Josh Krajcik  and called it “Amaro  & Krajcik,” they did with Justin Guarini and Kelly Clarkson when she won American Idol back in 2002 with her runner up to Justin Guarini,  and they did a movie together called “From Justin to Kelly” that movie did not do well, and I watched it last night on DVD. It was on sale for a dollar in the dollar store – that gives me an idea. Re-gift the DVD and give it to my sister in Florida.

Chris Reene sang an original song called “Young Homie” which was good, and he did a Christmas song he sang “Have yourself a Merry little Christmas.” Did he stumble on the song or was it part of the song? However, he sang great with Avril Lavigne and there sang  “Complicated” and it wasn’t complicated.

Two weeks ago, Rachel Crow would have stayed and be in the Top 3 contestants, but so far she has gotten record deals from music executives who wanted to make music with her. Could she possible replace Steve Jones as host for the next season? Steve Jones is excellent host, but it looked like; he wasn’t connected with the audience. The audience can be cruel. Rachel Crow did an excellent job as announcing the next act. Maybe they will get a female host.

Josh Krajcik sang with Alanis Morissette. They sang “Uninvited” which was good and later a Christmas song he sang, “Please come home for Christmas.” Josh can sing anything. He was my favorite and I wanted him to win, but unfortunately, he was the runner up and runner up usually does great and succeeds.

Melanie Amaro sang a Christmas classic song which was “All I want for Christmas is you” her voice was fantastic. She sang great. She sang “I believe I Can fly” with R. Kelly, absolutely right on the money.

When the contestants sang their duets with their favorite stars, they also took us into their lives and how they become singers. It was “This is your life” moment, very emotional and moving.

Astro rapped with 50 Cents and the Lakers. Leona Lewis, who won the British version of “The X Factor” in 2006 and has gone on to international stardom, reminded us what a winner of this show can accomplish. Marcus Canty upstaged (in a good way) Pitbull and Ne-Yo, giving us hope for his future.

Being a host, they have to take a lot of responsibly taking direction with the stage manager and the director. I think Steve Jones did great.

Their prize was the $5 million contract and a music contract, which is good, but no trophy.

X-Factor: Down to Three Amaro Krajcik Rene

We have the top three in no particular order: Melanie Amaro, Josh Krajcik, and Chris Rene. Well, it was in alphabetic order by last name, but Marcus Canty really did a great performance. His “Careless Whisper” performance was absolutely great. I never knew it was a dance hip hop song. I bet people would download his version of George Michael “Careless Whisper” being sung by Marcus Canty.

Anyway, the group sang a mash-up song of “No diggity” and “Shout.” It was good.  Then Florence and the Machine performed the song “Spectrum” from the album “Ceremonials” great stage productions with Erte poses, stained glass and classic ballet dancers – was that Ellen Degenres dancing?

“X Factor” judge Nicole Scherzinger premiered her new song “Pretty,” which Simon Cowell, who was sitting in Scherzinger’s chair, either he was keeping it warm or something else.  Anyway, he critiqued thusly (channeling Scherzinger, he said): “I believe in you. You believe in me. You transcend the universe. God is smiling on you. Life is a waterfall, and you are the ultimate rainbow.” I hate to see Simon Cowell in a dress. Weird?!

When the first two was saved Chris Rene and Melanie Amaro, Simon was happy that Melanie was saved. Two of his best girls went home over the last two weeks. Bring back Drew! Rachel Crow has already got record deals even though she was eliminated from the show last week and Drew too, so the girls got their chance to make their dreams come true, reaching this far in the competition. They don’t have to win the competition as long people are watching and seeing them singing very week on the show. Someone would eventually sign them with a deal with a recording contract.

Even though the contestants who got eliminate very week, I wonder where they are?  I hope they got recognize by some music agents and making their album. Going home is good, but they need a music career.

Nicole Scherzinger Made the Wrong the decision And so did the X-factors fans

As you know, by now Rachel Crow and Marcus Canty, were both contenders of the X-factor. They battle it out with a showcase of who will stay on the show, and it was the judges pick to save them.

LA Reid saved his singer and so did Simon. The women judges had a difficult choice. Paula agreed with Simon’s choice of saving Rachel Crow. Rachel has been more potential than Marcus, even though he was good. Rachel was sure she was safe, just because it was the judges pick and one more vote, which declared she will be back for another week and dazzle us again with her soulful performance.

Nicole Scherzinger, on the other hand, could not decide.  Nicole knew Rachel was a good singer, and the audience knew she was good. It was her performance on Wednesday night that the judges criticize her and her song choice, that made the audience think she may not be up to it, just because her song choice, but loved her performance on stage.

What did America think? Did they think she was not good at all, just because she picked the wrong song? Her performance was great. Rachel Crow and her self- confident trusted the judges on their opinions and she would stay.

Nicole like them, both and the rules said she had to pick one, either that they go for a deadlock, which is a tie or the host would read the name who had the lowest amount of votes.

Nicole thought she was safe and so did Rachel, but when the host announced and read the name who was going home Rachel was literally was in shock. She collapsed to the stage, crying. Her mother rush to her and so did Simon Cowell, to comfort her. This was Simon second girl who went home.

Will Nicole come back to the X-factor in the fall of 2012? We would never know and shame on her for not choosing Rachel Crow to stay in the competition. And shame on the X-factor fans for not voting her.

Drew’s Billie Jean Went Home

First, the judges like the strip down version of Billie Jean. It was done before, and this time it was Drew turn. It was her best performance.

I don’t know why America did not vote for Drew was it her performance or people think she was not connecting to the audience. She connected with me.

During the rehearsal, she suggested to Simon Cowel that Michael Jackson would not sit down and sang the song. It was an upbeat song stripped down. I know Simon was looking for some creative ways to perform the song, stripping the song for a vocal performance by Drew. However, it looked like he wasn’t thinking right, and the performance was weak but the other vocal performance was great.

Paula and Nicole disagree with Drew and made her cry. Drew was not happy. What?  They could not see her cry. I would change my mind if someone cries on stage. Make her comeback another week to prove that she can really perform. I bet people did vote her, and Marcus Cunty got his lowest vote for Pretty Young Thing. Simon was upset with the girls.

Finally, Astro went home. His performance of ‘Black and White’ did not go as he wanted to. Michael Jackson would be coming out of the grave! Don’t change the lyrics and put a rap in the beginning of the song. Astro has no talent. However, Drew has talent. Michael would say to Simon make her stand up and alone with the mike.

Even though Michael Jackson family was in audience, I wonder who they voted for? They should have a word in the judging for the final act who did the best and Drew would be safe.

I know who’s not coming to back for the next season for the X-factor.

X-Factor: Lakoda Rayne and LeRoy Bell Went Home

Even though Lakoda Rayne and LeRoy Bell went home last night, they were terrific in performing on stage and they gave it their all.

Did the x-factors fans got it right? Still Astro did not perform as well before, he got the sympathy votes to stay on for another week. Pretty sure the judges will be bored with his hip-hop rap original songs. Is he making an album? Can he sing previous artist songs? And save the originals for his album. If he does that he could make money out of it. He doesn’t need the five million-dollar contract money. What would a fifteen year-old  kid do with a five million-dollar contract? He would waste it all, and he would broke  again.

All the other contestants did a fantastic performance. They really honed their craft and listen to their mentor’s suggestions of how to make it better and connect to their fans. I was crying to some of their performance. It really connected to me.  When Astro performed, I took a bathroom break. I couldn’t hold it. I had a turkey sandwich in my hand.

The theme was for this week was giving thanks that inspired them and the parents who really believed they could do it.

I like Lakoda Rayne. They sang Taylor Swift’s “You belong with me” and they were good. They have gotten better over the past few weeks on the show. I was sure they would stay for another week. Unfortunately, they went home. I hope they would make a come back and someone could sign them for a record deal. I would definitely buy their CD when it comes out.

LeRoy Bell sang Arms of an Angel, which really moved me. His mother passed away two years ago and wanted to dedicate this song to his beloved mother. I was truly moved. I am going to download this song when my mom passes away – she’s still alive. I am trying to find some good songs for my mom what she would like before she dies. My mom hates me now.
