Brooke White from American Idol Makes a Movie.

Brooke White, from season 7 American Idol is making a movie with Randy Jackson and still hosting American Idol. Randy Jackson, along with Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler are the new hosts for American Idol.

Anyway, this made for TV movie is called “Change for Plans” starring Brooke White, Phylicia Rashad and NASCAR driver Jeff Burton make cameo appearances. Along with Randy Jackson.

Brooke plays a young woman who becomes legal guardian of four children after her best friend dies while serving in the Peace Corps. Three of those children were adopted from third-world countries, and Brooke’s character and her husband (played by Joe Flanigan) must learn to parent an instant, multi-cultural family in America.

This is her first movie project she ever did. “I wasn’t looking for roles,” said White. “I got a call from the producer to audition. But I told them I haven’t acted other than in my high-school play.”  She played the lead role of Ester in Meet Me in St Louis. This film reunites White with Idol judge Randy Jackson, who stars as himself. Hard at work on her third album, White has no plans to give up music, but she does want to keep her options open “I hope little acting gigs come along,” she said. “One of the great things of coming off Idol is the opportunity available.”

“Change of Plans” which will premiere Saturday, Jan. 8 (8 p.m. Eastern/7 p.m. Central) on FOX .  So please watch it. If there’s nothing else on beside the OWN network take a break away from the OWN network and watch Brooke White in her very first movie role for TV. Will she get an Emmy? You have to watch it this weekend coming up.

The Duets of American Idol

Lee Dewezy wins American Idol. If he won where’s the trophy. If someone wins Dancing With the Stars, they get a mirror ball.  American Idol winner should get something – like a Simon Cowel bobble head, better yet an American Idol trophy. The prizes included a contract for a musical career, like Adam Lambert did – I meant Criss Allen. Criss Won, but Adam Lambert is the successful one. Why is the runner-up always succeeded the winner.

The show went great. I missed the first 6 ½ minutes, Siobhan Magnus and Aaron Kelly sang a Bee Gee’s classic and I burnt my Okra and potatoes. It doesn’t taste good. Then the Bee Gee’s came out Barry and Maurice and they sang together. My dad order pizza. Fox’s “Glee” should do an episode of the Bee Gee’s music.

They were taking to the streets with Michael Lynch then Michael McDonald sang a duet with him.

Dane Cook wrote an original song called “Simon Said” it was funny with American Idol rejects. One grab the mike and wanted to know who will replace Simon Cowel. I thought they would announce during the show. Who will replace him. I think know who replace Simon Cowel –Ryan  Seacrest would be perfect as the judge. He has been doing this for 9 season of American idol. Bring back in the Dunkleman who hosted Ryan Seacrest in the first run of American Idol – Perfect casting.

Katie Stevens and Crystal Bowersox did a medley of Christina Aguilera songs and then Christina Aguilera sang along and did a new song “You Lost Me”. Katie did good job singing a Christina Aguilera songs. She was amazing. Christina Aguilera new Album will be released in June.

Ricky Gervais send a farewell message to Simon Cowel. Ricky Gervais as the new judge? That would be interested to see Ricky to be the new judge on American Idol. So wonder Simon was throwing money, the economy is so bad in California he was giving to California.

Lee DeWyze, Tim Urban, Michael Lynch and Andrew Garcia did a medley of Daryl Hall & John Oats classic songs from the past.

Crystal Bowersox and Alanis Morissette did a duet together with “You Outta know”

Carie Underwood, a successful winner of American Idol, Grammy winner and Country Music Award  sang “Un do it” written by Kara Dioguardi; was she thinking about Simon Cowel when she wrote the song – just un do it.

The best duet of the night was Casey James sang with Bret Michael with “Every Rose has it thorns” the winner of Celebrity Apprentice. He is a good man. I hope Simon wasn’t feel thorns in his seat.

Lee DeWyze sang with Chicago his home state. Not the whole state of Chicago if he did Oprah Winfrey would be there. But he sang with Chicago.

Never leave your pants on the ground. General Pratt sang his classic one hit wonder of 2010. “Pants on the Ground” he was good. But why did they bring back William Hung back.

Did Paula Abdul have a baby with Simon Cowel? What a great inside joke. Oh well, they were great friends together through thick and thin. Hey I would not mind baby sitting for them and a great speech. She could have sung with Andrew Garcia “Straight Up”

Winners and runner-ups of the past American Idol. Did Kelly Clarkson gain weight? Oh well, she’s till my favorite idol. They all sang “Together we are one” what happened to Clay Aiken.

Katie Stevens and Siobhan Magnus did a duet with Janet Jackson with “Trust in me” she’s the only one who has 34 number one hits on the billboards. She looked great and always dances great. She sang “Control” and “Nasty Boyz” to Simon Cowel. Weird combination, but good.

Joe Cocker a legendary singer and I love his voice, deep raspy voice he can still sing. He sang, “Help for my friends” and we do need help from our friends to be number one.

They should give awards to the winner. If the movie has an Oscars, the theater has the Tony. American Idol should give awards just for the winner. The musicals guest were terrific.

Beatles Night Was Good On American Idol

Pretty in pink Katie Stevens blossom with John Lennon classic with “Let it be” and let it be she was amazingly good. I hope she would not  land in the bottom three again. I bet the phone lines were buzzing over her, she said guys want to be her prom date.  Watch out for guys in their 40’s who wants to date her. The creepy and stalker kind.  I hope next week, with Adam Lambert as the mentor, she would be better, and better.

Aaron Kelly and his yoda impressions from Star Wars, if Yoda was the judge on American Idol he would say “Good, now do it better” I am using my Yoda voice impression.

Andy Garcia did it again. If you can’t buy his love, you can vote for him to stay. Lee and Andrew are roommates and they play guitar in their sleep. Strange. Anyway, with his rendition for the music it was good. So he was ‘Straight Up’.

Michael Lynch, don’t make him angry if you do, you wouldn’t like him when he’s angry. If you do make him angry, he would smile and make you laugh.  I wonder if he trained Lou Ferrigno to be the hulk. He did a cameo appearance in the second Hulk movie in 2008. The giant teddy bear did it again. He sang “Eleanor Rigby” and he did amazingly good.

Crystal Bowersox sang “Come together” and we came together and she sang it with her autograph guitar. She’s a mother and she sang great, that’s what mothers do they help out together.

Tim Urban, he sang “All my Lovin” he was a loving guy with pearly whites and sparkling too.  I need that toothpaste to make my teeth look sparkling white too. He did good too.

Casey James he sang “Jealous guy” a long distance dedication to Tiger Woods for his cheating scandal. His other nickname would be Fabio, and Drake?. He wanted to put all the ladies and their boyfriends into a jealous guy. Kara this one for you.

Siobhan Magnus she sang “Across the Universe” and Wow. She did it again. From making funny faces and wearing glasses, Clark Kent sister wow the audience again. She has soul and she can sing better than the rest of the group. She got me when she made that heartfelt speech why she loved that song. I am in love with her.

Lee Dewyze sang “Hey Jude” and he was great. Where did a Scottish bag pipe came from, was it for Simon? He’s British. The Bagpipe player was feeling a breeze with his kilt.

It will be difficult to choose who will let go, because they all sang great. If one goes and the judges use a save, next week they will have a double elimination.

And by the way Buzz Aldrin was eliminated on Dancing With the Stars. It was a close race with Kate Gosslin who survived another week with her terrible dancing. She has eight toes on one foot.

From Clark Kent to Hannah Montana

Crystal Bowersox is getting better every week. I hope she picks better songs to sing next week. And I hope the theme  is the liking for her to sing. The magic carpet worked for her.

Miley Cyrus was awesome. She was a great mentor. She even gave a confidence booster to Katie Steven to sing Fergie “Big Girls Don’t Cry” and she was great. Aaron Kelly sang “I don’t Want to Miss a Thing” he was star struck with her and had a crush on her – that’s good. But he sang great. I bet Miley Cyrus voted for him to stay and the others too.

Mostly the others were torpedo by the judges. Strike after strike. They weren’t singing that great enough to WOW to judges. The fans like them, but the judges were seriously. It is a singing competition no time to slide around on the stage just to approve you can dance.  Just sing and give out your best performance and make it your own, but don’t ruin the song. Andrew Garcia, the judges like him during Hollywood Week when he sang “Straight Up” what happened this week, he went straight down. Where’s the magic he did before? Do something current. No classic from the 70’s.

Why are they picking the wrong song? Is the song choice limited and the good ones are taken? I hope next week theme is better.

When Siobhan Magnus was being interview with Miley Cyrus she looked like Clark Kent but on stage she pulled a Hannah Montana. She looked HOT.  WOW. The song was great ain’t that superstitious. She will definite stay. I hope she toned down the screaming in her performance and hit the right note and don’t go pitchy. Go by the story of the song. If Siobhan Magnus does this, she will be in the top two in the finally. Adam Lambert was and looked at him. He’s doing better than Chris Allen.

American Idol Lacey Brown will Succeed

Lacey Brown went home last night and the judges save did not work on her. She sang a different song Brandi Carlile’s “The Story”, even though this was a country song. It did not help. She should listen to her fans, because her fans wanted to support her and make her stay in the competition. The same with the other contestants listen to your fans.

Since it was a Rolling Stone week, probably the song choices were limited and she picked the song that no one wanted to sing. Do they listen to the original recording and different rendition of the music? If she did, she could have sung it and make it her own – that’s what was wrong. If they make it their own, the song will be less interesting, and the style. It’s like turning Britney Spears “Baby One More Time” into a country song, that will be interesting. Or Whitney Houston song “I will always love you” into a country song?

I hope the next week theme will be better and I hope the contestants will choose a good song for them and their fans.

American Idol contestants you have fans and they wanted you to succeed. So please pick a good song to sing so we can be WOW and WOW I will be voting for her/him.
