Miley Cyrus was the spotlight on the MTV video music awards.  She won for video of the year for “Wrecking Ball”; she’s not a bad girl after all. Many people thought she would go to the deep end of child actors. She’s smart and she knows what she’s doing. She comes from a grounded family of the Cyrus clan.

For her acceptant speech, she let a former homeless youth and talked about homelessness among teenagers. We have too many homeless teenagers across the United State, some of them go to school and some get abused by bullies in school. It must stop right now. I am glad she brought awareness of homeless teenagers in the U.S. And, I wish someone could help these homeless teenagers in America.

Other highlights, they only show a montage memorial of Robin Williams who died recently, there are other celebrities who passed away this year and they were young too. They should do memorial of young celebrities who passed away.

When Niki Minaj was twerking and gyrating to the song of “Anaconda” at the beginning of the hour, my cat was scared for life seeing the dancing moves of Niki Minaj. Is this appropriate for TV? Oh I forgot it’s MTV. Then later for another song called “Bang Bang” her dressed was loose – a dressed malfunction.  She could’ve straightened it out, we wouldn’t missed her.

When Nina Dobrev and Trey Songz were presenting, I did not know that Trey Songz mispronounce The Black Keys as The Black Eyes, Nina Dobrev outfit distracted me, and she looked stunning.

Queen Beyoncé sang a melody of her songs from her latest album, which came out last year. At the end of the show, I did not bother to watch it because I had to sleep early because my daughter had school in the morning. I had to get her ready.
