Executive producer Nigel Lythgoe, said “What maybe we should talk about for the next season is, should we go to So You Think You Can Dance style of voting so that America votes for the bottom three and then the judges decide who goes home,” Lythgoe said.

Maybe James Durbin wasn’t connecting with the audience, or maybe he wasn’t cute enough to be in the popularity contest, or maybe. He is talented and he sings absolutely fantastic every week. He should have stayed in the competition and Scotty McCreery should have gone home.
