Brooke White, from season 7 American Idol is making a movie with Randy Jackson and still hosting American Idol. Randy Jackson, along with Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler are the new hosts for American Idol.
Anyway, this made for TV movie is called “Change for Plans” starring Brooke White, Phylicia Rashad and NASCAR driver Jeff Burton make cameo appearances. Along with Randy Jackson.
Brooke plays a young woman who becomes legal guardian of four children after her best friend dies while serving in the Peace Corps. Three of those children were adopted from third-world countries, and Brooke’s character and her husband (played by Joe Flanigan) must learn to parent an instant, multi-cultural family in America.
This is her first movie project she ever did. “I wasn’t looking for roles,” said White. “I got a call from the producer to audition. But I told them I haven’t acted other than in my high-school play.” She played the lead role of Ester in Meet Me in St Louis. This film reunites White with Idol judge Randy Jackson, who stars as himself. Hard at work on her third album, White has no plans to give up music, but she does want to keep her options open “I hope little acting gigs come along,” she said. “One of the great things of coming off Idol is the opportunity available.”
“Change of Plans” which will premiere Saturday, Jan. 8 (8 p.m. Eastern/7 p.m. Central) on FOX . So please watch it.
